When it comes to family and self-confidence, the Giudice women know how to keep it real. Gia Giudice, star of The Next Gen NYC and daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice, recently shared candid insights about her decision to get a rhinoplasty — and how her mom initially reacted.

Gia admitted to Access Hollywood, “I always have been so insecure about my nose. So when I finally opened up to my mom about it, she was in shock. She didn’t believe that I was actually insecure [about it]. But when I got my nose [job], she was like ‘Oh, it was really that bad.’ And I go, ‘Yeah, thanks!’”
The procedure took place in late 2020, with Gia crediting Dr. Geoffrey Tobias, a New Jersey plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty, for her subtle yet stunning transformation. Dr. Tobias posted a before-and-after photo on Instagram, noting, “This photo is from nearly 4 years ago. Her results are subtle, natural, and fit her face beautifully. Four years later, her nose looks fantastic!” Gia agreed wholeheartedly: “My nose [job] has been the best decision of my life.”
Despite speculation about other cosmetic enhancements, Gia has been refreshingly transparent. “I’m honestly so open to it, and I feel like my fans know that, and my audience knows that,” she explained. “That’s why I don’t get it. I’m like, ‘I’m so open with you guys. Why are they questioning it?’”

She clarified further, “The OG watchers of Real Housewives have seen my lips since I was a little kid, and I have never touched them. I have gotten a little bit of Botox in my forehead, in my 11s (glabellar lines), but nothing else major besides my nose. So, I’m very open. I want my audience to feel like I am being honest with them… The real ones know.”
The openness about cosmetic procedures runs in the family. Teresa Giudice herself has undergone several treatments, including breast augmentations, Botox, lip fillers, and rhinoplasty. Speaking at the 2021 New Jersey Ultimate Women’s Expo, Teresa revealed, “I don’t know if anybody knows, but I did get the tip of my nose done and I was so nervous about getting it. So I guess I got a nose job — the tip of it — and I used Dr. Tobias in Englewood, [New Jersey]. He was amazing.”
For the Giudices, being honest about their insecurities and the steps they take to feel confident seems to be part of their family bond — and it’s inspiring to see them break the stigma around cosmetic procedures.
