According to the lawyer, there was no formal contract behind the payments. Instead, Simon allegedly wanted to ensure Porsha had the resources to manage her lifestyle after giving up her primary income sources. “He took into account that she was no longer earning from two of her major platforms and wanted her to have some means for her day-to-day needs,” the lawyer explained.
Negotiations between the couple began in late 2021 and carried into the following year. During those talks, Simon’s legal team emphasized that Porsha was no longer making her reported $1.6 to $2 million annually from RHOA, a figure that many fans were shocked to hear.
“Mr. Guobadia relied on the fact that Ms. Williams was no longer earning that average income from Bravo or Dish Nation,” the attorney noted, pointing out how her financial situation played a role in discussions around their prenuptial agreement.
