Entertainment Tonight’s Brice Sander appeared on the Gabbing With Gib podcast where he reported that Andy Cohen said the zero interactions or communication between RHONJ stars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Margaret Josephs throughout season 14 will NOT work for future seasons of the series.
This can only mean one thing: A casting shakeup for RHONJ will need to happen for season 15.
Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice have been vocal about their lack of interaction and communication throughout season 14 of RHONJ. When it comes to Margaret and Teresa – they haven’t been on speaking terms since the season 12 reunion when Marge accused Teresa and her husband, Louie Ruelas, of going after her adult son at his job.
On a January episode of her PodcastOne podcast, On Display, Melissa Gorga told Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards that it was difficult to film season 14 with Teresa Giudice amid their fallout.
“Ugh, you have no idea,” Melissa admitted. “It’s definitely been a roller coaster, up and down, and we’re about to air [Season 14] in the spring, and it’s very, very different. Like, we literally don’t even speak to each other.”
When asked if her husband, Joe Gorga, is on speaking terms with his sister to which the 44-year-old replied, “No, zero.”
That same month, the longtime Bravoleb also teased that, unlike past seasons, season 14 of RHONJ won’t primarily focus on the rocky relationship between Melissa and her husband, Joe, and his sister, Teresa.
“The biggest misconception is that it’s gonna be more drama between me and my sister-in-law,” Melissa told Entertainment Tonight . “We don’t even, like, look at each other.”
When asked at BravoCon 2023 how her and Teresa’s lack of communication changed things for season 14, Melissa said:
“It’s very different from last season… because there’s not a lot of communication, so I think it’s different and better.”
“I think the fans will feel refreshed as well. I mean, weren’t you sick of it?” the 44-year-old asked the crowd before adding, “It’s so much to describe right now, but I think everyone knows where we’re at. Everyone’s reading it. I think it’s, like I said, we’re at a place of peace. I think everyone needs a minute. Everyone needs a break, and there’s just a period on it right now.”
As for Teresa, she told E! News in November that her relationship with Melissa was over for good.
“That chapter’s closed,” the OG New Jersey Housewife declared.
Beyond, Teresa, Margaret, and Melissa, season 14 also stars Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda.
Jackie Goldschenider and Jennifer Fessler are also returning as friends of the Housewives.

Please be true! They need to cast the hole cast away and re-cast Jersey. I’m so over the Teresa-Melissa drama. I don’t even care whose side anyone is on. They both suck.
Personally I never was on a side other than getting rid of Teresa. Bravo will probably go the route of NY although less successful than they hoped.

More Gia will be another reason to finally get rid of Teresa and therefore, Luis!
What interaction do they expect? No matter what happens, TreApe will blame Melissa for her problems. What’s the point? Marge has all rights not to communicate with TreApe and Loui the Raging Lobster after it was revealed that he was spying on the cast and went after her son. But Marge is interacting with other cast members actively and bringing on drama. The felon should go, she and her husband are nauseating. And nobody believes their “perfect family” and “love bubble” story anyways. I guess Bravo is keeping TreApe on the show waiting for another scandal a-la Juicy Joe. Tre then claimed that her relationship with him was fine, there were no money problems, BK until the end.
I think all along they’ve been waiting for that between Teresa and Luis. She was obviously done two seasons ago and that is why Andy mentioned something about it in his book. She thought she could quit if she snagged Luis. Too bad she refused to see a big reason why he sought her out was to start a new career on reality TV so she can’t quit! He didn’t get the spinoff due in part to his atrocious behavior, IMO, so she’s stuck. She even had to go on House of Villains for some $$ which she probably hated (because she’s so dumb). Surely they’ll dump her after this season airs. They could always say they are working on a spinoff for her to keep the fanatics at bay for a while. Ha!
So, Teresa said at the S13 reunion that she will never speak to her brother & SIL ever again. Correct? Sooo, Bravo, Andy, & Sirens Media huddled afterwards and decided it would be a good idea to give the Giudice-Ruelas & Gorga families another season in hopes they will all makeup and mend?!? I knew that was never going to happen. It was extremely disrespectful for producers to even try that.
That family is now destroyed thanks to the show. Andy needs to just leave them alone. Respect what’s left of Nonno & Nonna Gorga’s legacy in the U.S.. Maybe one day Tre and her brother will makeup and all the cousins can be a family again. IMO, Melissa and Joe need to go. It looks like they’re just playing with the other cast members who have strong storylines since they don’t have one.

I don’t think Bravo cares if Melissa stays or leaves. They will do whatever to keep Tre. However, Siren production want Melissa to stay sooo badly. It seems like Tre really meant it when she said she is done with Melissa and Joey.
I sort of agree with you about Melissa and so do many others but they really do want to keep her husband. I think by now they’ve faced the fact that Teresa plus Luis is the reason viewing went way down last season.

YES! Do what they should have done already-throw out the trash (Teresa and Luis Giudice.) They have Danielle (Teresa replacement) to fight with Aydin (wanna be Teresa replacement) and then they have Marge to argue with both of them if necessary. That should satisfy the majority of Teresa fanatics who like chaos. The others could be the fun girls along with the house husbands and get out of NJ for interesting trips for a change! (I think Aydin should have been fired after her first season, however.)
They really need to try it one season without the nasty one and her repulsive husband. Then if it tanks, just end it.
If Bravo plans on refreshing all RHW shows I’m all for it.
It will finally be the negative (maybe positive ) reinforcement for me to put this series to bed for good and move on to something else.

Sounds to me like AC is sending out a warning … “Either you guys work it out, or we will” (and I don’t think Teresa will be the one to go). Although to be honest, with NINE putanas in this cast, I really don’t see why Teresa and the Gorgas not speaking would be a problem. Besides, fambly squabbling is relatable (especially in the Italian culture).

Right, Joe couldn’t stand them being at odds very long, especially when the parents were around and the kids were younger. Now that he realizes his sister really does hate him and life without having to placate her is so much better, she may have a problem when she eventually comes running back to him (probably not, though, because he said at the reunion he’d be there and Melissa agreed).
So now that they are doing what they should have done years ago, it isn’t working for bravo.

This is going to boil down to whether they want the show to make money or not. M & M just aren’t sustainable. Obviously T can be rebranded just as she was done after she came home from prison. Remember she was strongly disliked the season prior to her going to prison as welll. What happened? Bravo rebranded her.

My reservation about a spinoff is that it would only last 3-4 seasons. When if she were on the show, and edited properly, she could be on indefinitely.

I thought in the beginning when Luis arrived, the only purpose for bravo might be to film the marriage implode which would be a limited spinoff of one short season. Otherwise, she expired a long time ago and with Luis, she quickly became rancid.

She has tried disparaging them with tabloid stories, lying about the SIL cheating too many times and even at the reunion last year made it clear to bravo she expected them to be fired. Bottom line she has always gone after anyone who she didn’t think was “loyal” to her including her cousins. Then she hooked up with creepy Luis who threatened all her co-workers with hiring a PI to get info on them to use against them at will.

So Giudice WAS at the airport when someone saw her bypass the other people who were supposed to board first. I’m guessing she was on her way back to NJ after getting booted off House of Villains. Probably in a really bad mood.

I really, really think they hung on to Teresa and Luis to film the marriage implosion (and for her rabid fanatics who love the chaos she creates) but it was a mistake because it hasn’t happened soon enough for TV. I think that is what the preview was trying to do to get people to watch.

They might be the only kind she feels safe wearing. She’s in her fifties yet probably wants to always wear heels (when everyone else is) because she’s short and she’d look chunkier (pre weight loss drug) with no heels. She is certainly into looks!
I can agree with the short comment, but not the older/safety comment, only because she has been wearing them since the first episode she was ever shown on. Sometimes they’re super cute. Other times, like on construction job sites…not so much. ?
I don’t know. Not everyone is comfortable in those thin spikey long heels. Dolores is hard to figure. All her weirdo cosmetic surgery is hard to grasp when she started out among the prettiest of them all, IMO.
