Meredith Marks is weighing in on Whitney Rose’s divorce filing, and her advice is a little different than what fans may expect.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star spoke to Us Weekly over the weekend while attending National PrEP Day at The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood, where she was asked about Whitney filing for divorce from Justin Rose.
Meredith revealed that she has not personally spoken to Whitney since the news broke, but she still wishes her costar and her family the best.
“I have not talked to Whitney,” Meredith said. “I do hope she’s doing well, and I’m wishing her and her family all the best in whatever the outcome is.”
Whitney filed for divorce from Justin on Tuesday, October 6, after more than 15 years of marriage. The couple had previously confirmed they were separated and living apart before Whitney officially filed. In her divorce filing, Whitney reportedly cited irreconcilable differences and listed their date of separation as September 10, 2026. She also requested joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Bobbi and Brooks, and asked for alimony as well as attorney fees.
While Meredith is not inserting herself into Whitney’s personal life, she did point out that divorce filings do not always mean the marriage is officially over forever.
Meredith used her own relationship with Seth Marks as an example.
“Seth and I filed for divorce, and look where we’re at. So you never know,” Meredith said.
Meredith and Seth went through their own separation in 2019 after more than two decades of marriage. Seth filed for divorce in August 2019, but later dropped the petition that December. Their marital issues were later shown on RHOSLC, and the couple eventually reconciled.
Because of that, Meredith seems to understand that every situation is different.
“If you really want a divorce, then that’s the best thing ever,” Meredith said.
She added, “I hope she ends up happy. I hope Justin, the kids, everyone end up happy in the long run. That’s all I can say on it.”
Meredith’s comments come as Whitney’s marriage continues to play out publicly, both on RHOSLC and off camera. Whitney and Justin’s relationship has been a major part of her storyline since the beginning of the show, including the impact RHOSLC had on Justin’s career and the couple’s family life.
