Robyn Dixon is opening up about what convinced her to return to The Real Housewives of Potomac in a friend role.
Robyn was one of RHOP’s original cast members and appeared full-time for eight seasons before confirming in 2024 that she was not asked back as a full-time Housewife. At the time, Robyn admitted she was fired and said she was not blaming Bravo for the decision.
While speaking on the Humble Brag podcast, Robyn talked about her RHOP return after the new season premiered on Sunday. According to Robyn, she was not exactly pushing to get back into the mix after taking time away from the show.
Robyn admitted she had been enjoying the peace that came with stepping away from RHOP.
“So Cynthia convinced me to do it,” Robyn said.
Robyn explained that she had spoken with Cynthia Bailey at BravoCon last November, where Cynthia encouraged her to come back if the opportunity was there.
“I had talked to her at BravoCon last November and she was like, ‘I hope you back,’” Robyn recalled. “And I was like, ‘Well, it’s really not up to me.’”
Robyn said she told Cynthia that returning to RHOP was not something she was actively focused on.
“I said, ‘I’m really not, it’s not on my radar. I’m really enjoying my peace. I’m really just enjoying being away from the show and all of the things,’” Robyn shared.
That is when Cynthia, who has plenty of experience returning to Housewives in a friend role, gave Robyn some advice.
“She was like, ‘Robyn, I promise you the friend role is amazing. I promise you, do it if they call you. Please do it,’” Robyn said.
According to Robyn, Cynthia completely changed her mind about the possibility.
“She totally convinced me and said it’s so stress-free and it’s what you make of it,” Robyn added.
