Hailey Glassman is opening up about her past relationship with Jon Gosselin, and she is sharing a surprising new detail about their time together.
The Real Housewives of New York City newbie recently discussed dating the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star back in 2009, but now she is giving more context about what their relationship was really like behind the scenes.
While appearing on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Hailey clarified that her relationship with Jon lasted longer than the public may have realized.
According to Hailey, she and Jon were together “a lot longer” than the five months that had been reported at the time.
Hailey also revealed that she and Jon lived together in New York City after his separation from Kate Gosselin, following 10 years of marriage.
Then Hailey made a major claim about the financial side of their relationship.
“I paid his child support for a very long time during that divorce,” Hailey claimed.
She added that she was never repaid.
“Never got paid back, but it’s okay, Jon,” Hailey said. “I know you’re working through it. I love you forever, family.”
Hailey was only 22 years old when she dated Jon, who was going through a very public split from Kate at the time.
Jon and Kate’s divorce played out in the spotlight after their family became famous on Jon & Kate Plus 8, which followed the former couple as they raised their eight children.
Hailey’s relationship with Jon also became tabloid news, but she says there was more to their connection than people understood.
After they split, Hailey said she and Jon did not speak for several years. Eventually, she says Jon reached out with an apology letter.
“And then we met up,” Hailey recalled.
According to Hailey, the two were able to move past the drama and rebuild a bond.
“We just were family ever since,” she said.
