Milania Giudice’s attorney is speaking out after her court date in a domestic violence case was postponed.
Alan Kraminsky, Milania’s lawyer, confirmed in a statement to Us Weekly that the hearing was adjourned and asked the public to give the 20-year-old privacy.
“Without getting into the specifics, I determined that adjourning the hearing was the appropriate course of action,” Kraminsky said on Tuesday, September 29.
He continued, “I join Milania’s family in respectfully asking everyone to give her the privacy and space she needs.”
According to Us Weekly, Milania’s next court date is now set for December 1.
Milania, the daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice, was arrested in May at Teresa’s home following an alleged incident.
She was charged with simple assault and purposely/knowingly causing bodily injury. Milania has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
According to court documents, Milania’s sister Gabriella Giudice allegedly called authorities to report that Milania was “acting erratically” and “throwing food [and] candles.”
The alleged victim was not named, and no injuries were reported.
Milania previously broke her silence on the arrest in July after a fake mugshot began circulating on social media.
The postponed court date comes as Milania and her family have also been asking for privacy following her recent airport incident, which sparked public concern after footage surfaced online.
Teresa Giudice recently released a statement asking the public to show Milania compassion as she deals with grief, trauma and an extremely vulnerable time in her life.
Joe Giudice has also spoken out in support of his daughter, saying Milania is a “good girl” with a “big heart” who is going through a very difficult period.
Now, Milania’s attorney is echoing the family’s request.
