Brandi Glanville is thanking Kyle Richards and several other Bravo stars for stepping up as she continues dealing with serious health issues and mounting medical bills.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recently had a GoFundMe created on her behalf to help cover the cost of her ongoing treatment and recovery. As of this article being written, the fundraiser has raised $22,922 of its $28,000 goal.
During a new interview with Page Six, Brandi expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her former RHOBH co-star Kyle Richards, who publicly donated $500 to the campaign.
Kyle was not the only familiar Bravo face to contribute.
Leah McSweeney, Heather Gay and Vicki Gunvalson were also among the Housewives stars who donated to help Brandi as she continues trying to get answers and treatment.
Brandi said the support from her Bravo peers has meant everything to her.
“I feel like we are a sisterhood,” Brandi said. “We are a family at the end of the day. They ride for me. And I’d do the same for them, for sure.”
Brandi has been open about how expensive her health battle has become, especially as she continues undergoing treatment while being limited in the amount of work she can take on.
On her podcast, Unfiltered, Brandi said she was excited to see the GoFundMe gaining traction and made it clear that she hopes to pay people back one day.
“I appreciate everyone that’s helped me and you’re gonna get it back,” Brandi said. “I know this. I’m gonna get better. It might take a year, I don’t know, I’m gonna get a payment plan for my credit cards.”
Brandi’s health struggles have left her needing consistent medical care, and she has previously spoken about spending much of her day doing IV treatments.
Her GoFundMe has drawn attention from fans and Housewives stars alike as she continues to deal with facial disfigurement, complicated diagnoses and a long road to recovery.
The latest support also comes as Brandi appears on Season 5 of Fox’s Special Forces.
Brandi was one of the few Real Housewives stars to take on the intense competition series, but she was ultimately forced to withdraw after a medical emergency.
Still, Brandi said she was proud of herself for showing up and pushing herself.
“I wanted to prove to my kids I could do it, but I had to go to the doctor. I was done,” Brandi said. “But I think that this still proves to the kids that I was kind of a badass.”
The first episode of Special Forces showed Brandi struggling during the opening challenge, which required contestants to jump from a helicopter into water and swim back to the dock.
Even though her time on the show was cut short, Brandi said the experience still meant something to her.
