Prosecutors in the criminal case involving Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., have filed emergency court documents as his legal situation continues to escalate.
According to TMZ, prosecutors filed a motion asking the court to order forensic interviews of “minor children.”
At this time, no additional details have been made available about which children prosecutors are seeking to interview or how they may be connected to the case.
Forensic interviews are typically conducted by trained professionals in a controlled setting and are often used when minors may have information relevant to an investigation.
The emergency filing comes as KJ faces multiple serious felony charges tied to an alleged sexual assault involving a schoolmate at a local gym.
KJ was recently indicted on charges including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16.
The alleged incident involving the classmate reportedly occurred on April 23, and KJ was arrested in August.
At a recent hearing, prosecutors also claimed KJ had already been under court supervision in connection with a previously unknown case. Prosecutors alleged authorities found videos on his phone involving an underage relative.
Those allegations have not been proven in court.
The court recently set KJ’s bond at $200,000.
Kim has previously defended her son through a representative, stating that KJ “categorically denies” the allegations against him.
Because KJ is a minor and the case involves alleged minor victims, the matter remains extremely sensitive. Prosecutors’ latest emergency motion suggests they are seeking additional information from minors through formal forensic interviews as the case moves forward.
For now, KJ’s legal case remains ongoing, and the court will determine whether to grant prosecutors’ request.
