Jenn Pedranti thinks Vicki Gunvalson may be more disappointed about her engagement situation than she is letting on.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star spoke with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea about Vicki’s relationship with boyfriend Michael Smith after it was revealed that Michael had already purchased an engagement ring for Vicki but allegedly said he would not propose until she had been a “good girl” for 90 consecutive days.
Vicki has insisted Michael’s comment was a joke, but Jenn said that even if it was meant playfully, it still cannot feel great for Vicki.
“One thing I know about Vicki is she’s a girl, and she has feelings, and you love your man,” Jenn said. “Any girl would be like, ‘He’s sitting on the ring, why do I not have it?’”
Jenn, who is engaged to Ryan Boyajian, said she feels for Vicki because most women would struggle knowing there is already a ring but no proposal.
“It makes me sad for her,” Jenn admitted.
Jenn added that if she were in Vicki’s position, she would be frustrated by feeling like she had to keep proving herself in the relationship before getting engaged.
According to Jenn, she would eventually stop trying to “perform” just to earn the proposal.
“That’s got to be hard for Vicki,” Jenn said.
Vicki and Michael have been dating since 2022 and split their time between La Quinta, California, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Vicki returned to RHOC for its milestone 20th season after leaving the show in 2020. Her relationship with Michael has been part of her storyline, with Vicki making it clear during the Season 20 premiere that he makes her feel secure and loved.
“Four years into our relationship, Mike fills my emotional love tank,” Vicki said. “Like, I know when I’m with him, I feel empowered. I feel good. He accepts me. I’m a lot to accept.”
Vicki has always been open about wanting love, commitment and marriage, which is why Michael already having a ring has become such a major talking point.
While Vicki may be brushing off the “good girl” comment as a joke, Jenn seems to believe the situation would bother almost anyone.
