Charrisse Jackson-Jordan is making it clear she was not absent from the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Potomac celebration by choice.
During the RHUGT event, Gizelle Bryant pulled the Real Housewives of Potomac women aside and reflected on how far the franchise has come since Season 1.
Gizelle also addressed why Karen Huger was not at the event, explaining that Karen had only gotten out of prison a few months before filming and wanted to “baby-step her way back into all things Housewives.”
But fans also noticed that two original RHOP faces were missing from the event: Katie Rost and Charrisse Jackson-Jordan.
And according to Charrisse, she would have attended had she been asked.
Reality Blurb spoke with Charrisse about why she was not present, and her answer was simple.
“I wasn’t invited,” Charrisse Jackson Jordan shared.
When asked if she would have gone if she had received an invitation, Charrisse said, “Of course.”
Charrisse then made it clear that she feels her role in building Potomac should not be ignored.
“I worked my a*s off to make Potomac happen,” she said. “I laid the foundation so others could shine.”
Charrisse also added that if it were not for her “diligent efforts, no one would know any of the faces of RHOP.”
Her comments are already sparking conversation because Charrisse was part of RHOP from the very beginning. She joined the show as a full-time cast member in Season 1 and remained full-time through Season 2 before later appearing as a friend and guest in later seasons.
For longtime Potomac fans, Charrisse’s presence in the early years mattered. She was connected to several of the women, helped shape the original group dynamic and was part of the foundation that allowed RHOP to grow into one of Bravo’s most talked-about franchises.
While Karen’s absence was explained by Gizelle as a personal decision tied to her return to public life, Charrisse says she was never given the option to attend.
The timing is also interesting as RHOP prepares to return for Season 11 on October 11 at 8 p.m. ET. The new season is expected to bring plenty of drama, including tension between Karen and Gizelle, Karen and Ray’s marriage issues, Tia’s relationship struggles, Robyn Dixon’s return, and legal drama surrounding Wendy Osefo.
But before the new season even begins, Charrisse is reminding fans that Potomac did not become Potomac overnight.
And according to her, she helped make it happen.
