Scheana Shay is still hurt over the way two of her closest friends handled one of the most painful parts of her marriage.
The Vanderpump Rules alum recently revealed that Janet Caperna and Lala Kent both shared private information about Brock Davies cheating on her while she was pregnant — something Scheana says was never theirs to tell.
During an episode of her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana opened up about learning that Janet had told Brittany Cartwright about Brock’s past cheating. Around the same time, Scheana also found out that Lala had shared the information with Jenna Willis, a Vanderpump Rules cast member who was not in a good place with Scheana at the time.
For Scheana, the timing made everything feel even heavier.
“After I found out that Lala had told Jenna about Brock’s cheating, I said I just need a little time to process this,” Scheana said. “This is really heavy. This is a big betrayal.”
Scheana explained that she was not just dealing with one friend crossing a line. She was processing two people close to her sharing something deeply personal without her permission.
“Around the same time, I found out Janet had told Brittany, and so I’m dealing with two of my closest friends doing this to me,” Scheana shared.
While Scheana admitted she believes Janet may not have been trying to hurt her, she still made it clear that the information should not have been shared.
According to Scheana, Janet had “good intentions,” but that still did not make it okay, “it was not okay and not your place.”
The situation is especially painful because Scheana has already had to publicly navigate the fallout of Brock’s cheating being discussed. What made it worse was finding out that people she trusted were the ones spreading the information behind the scenes.
Scheana has always been open about wanting loyalty from the people closest to her, and this is not the first time her friendships with both Lala and Janet have faced public scrutiny.
