Melissa Gorga is teasing a major comeback for The Real Housewives of New Jersey after the show’s nearly two-year hiatus.
While attending the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th premiere in New York City on Tuesday, August 4, Melissa spoke to People about what fans can expect from RHONJ Season 15, which marks the show’s return after Bravo hit pause following one of the most divided seasons in franchise history.
“We wrapped it with a bang,” Melissa said.
The longtime RHONJ star revealed that she had a lot of fun filming the upcoming season and believes the new dynamic brought out a lighter, more authentic side of the cast.
“I had so much fun this season,” Melissa shared. “The cast is so funny. I feel like there was a lot of stress, so you got to see our real personalities.”
Melissa even compared the vibe of Season 15 to the earlier years of RHONJ, before the show became heavily centered around long-running family feuds and cast divisions.
“It reminded me back in the beginning seasons, too, when we would just have a lot of fun and be goofy,” Melissa said.
Season 15 is a big reset for RHONJ.
Bravo announced in March 2026 that Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga and Dolores Catania would be returning as the only familiar faces for the new season, with additional new cast members joining the group.
The decision came after RHONJ Season 14 ended in such a toxic place that Bravo canceled the traditional reunion in June 2024. At the time, the cast was deeply divided, with Teresa, Melissa, Dolores, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler all caught in long-running alliances, family tension and fractured friendships.
Instead of forcing the same group back together, Bravo put the show on pause and eventually moved forward with a major overhaul.
The most surprising part of the Season 15 announcement was that both Teresa and Melissa were asked back after years of refusing to film together in any meaningful way. Their feud had become one of the biggest issues on the show, especially after Teresa’s wedding to Luis Ruelas and the ongoing fallout with Joe and Melissa Gorga.
Now, RHONJ is attempting to move forward with Teresa, Melissa and Dolores anchoring the franchise alongside a new group of women.
Andy Cohen has also teased that the new season brings a different energy, previously saying fans may see Teresa having fun while filming in a way they have not seen before. Bravo has also confirmed that more cast details would be revealed as the season gets closer.
Melissa’s latest comments suggest the reset may have worked.
