Calah Jackson is responding after Kristi McBee announced that her family is done living in the public eye following ongoing drama involving Steven McBee Jr.’s exes.
The McBee Dynasty star shared an emotional post saying she has “had enough” after what she described as a “relentless smear campaign” against her son Steven McBee Jr., as well as attacks involving her daughter-in-law, who she noted is eight months pregnant.
“My family and I truly appreciate all of the love and support from the ones that have been loyal, kind and have shown grace,” Kristi wrote.
Kristi then called out what she says has been ongoing negativity toward her family.
“Between the relentless smear campaign on Steven from the two ex’s, who can’t seem to move on, and then them going after my daughter in law who’s 8 months pregnant, on top of the cruelty of a lot of the bravo audience, I’ve had enough,” she continued.
Kristi also made it clear that she is worried about where the commentary could go next.
“Are they going to go after my granddaughters next? That’s when my gloves would come off,” she wrote.
Kristi said she never wanted this level of public attention and that it is time for her family to step away.
“I never needed this or wanted this and it’s time for my family to enjoy our lives and be out of the public eye,” Kristi added.
She ended the message with an apparent reference to Steven Jr.’s exes, Allie Eklund and Calah Jackson.
“A & C need to find another ride to hop on cause this one is over! But again much love to our supporters! 🫶”
Calah, however, did not stay quiet after Kristi’s post.
The former McBee Dynasty star responded and pushed back on the idea that she is the one who cannot move on.
“Funny how I’m supposedly the one who ‘can’t move on’ yet my name keeps getting brought up on every interview, podcast, episode the family has done…” Calah commented.
She then claimed she has actually turned down opportunities to publicly share her side of the story.
“I’ve also declined multiple interviews with major outlets to tell my side, yw,” Calah added.
Kristi’s post comes as Season 3 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys continues to air, with Steven Jr.’s past and present relationships becoming a major topic both on the show and online.
Steven’s relationship with Allie Eklund has been heavily featured this season, while his past with Calah Jackson has continued to come up as the family discusses where things stand now and how previous relationship drama affected Steven.
The tension has only grown as viewers continue to weigh in on the McBee family, Steven’s exes and the women connected to the family.
Kristi’s message makes it clear that she believes the online criticism has gone too far, especially when it comes to her family members who did not sign up for the same level of public scrutiny.
For now, Kristi says her family is stepping away from the public eye.
But judging by Calah’s response, the drama surrounding the McBee family is far from over.
