Liz McGraw is firing back after Rosie Woods DiMare made it clear she will not be missing her on Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
After Rosie appeared on the Pause and Rewind podcast and shared her honest thoughts on Liz’s exit from RHORI, Liz jumped into the comments and suggested viewers did not get to see the “whole picture” of Rosie during Season 1.
The drama started when Rosie was asked if she would miss Liz on RHORI Season 2 after Liz recently announced she was stepping away from the show after just one season.
Rosie’s response was blunt.
“Not really,” Rosie said.
Rosie then explained that she believes being on reality TV requires self-awareness, especially when viewers begin reacting to how someone comes across on camera.
“I think a big part of shows like this you have to have the self-awareness to know who you are, how you act and how you come across,” Rosie said.
She continued, “And I think it’s a real hard pill to swallow for people if that’s not who you think you are, and then you see yourself that way.”
Rosie said that while everyone is human and doing their best, reality TV forces people to look at themselves honestly.
“We’re all human. We’re all doing our best,” Rosie explained. “But I think when the mirror is shown to you, you have to be able to say, ‘Okay, I am a little bit like that or I did act that way in a situation or not.’”
Rosie then suggested that if someone does not like what is being reflected back to them, reality TV may not be the right space for them.
“And I don’t think if they reflect this to you and you don’t like it, then you probably shouldn’t be doing this kind of work,” Rosie said.
Rosie also claimed that she had concerns about Liz early in Season 1, but felt viewers did not see the full picture until later in the season.
“But I will say I called it in episode four and everybody said I was being messy and a problem,” Rosie said. “But I think maybe not all of her personality was being shown to the world yet, and by the time we got to Cabo, you guys were seeing the full picture that a lot of us were seeing off camera or in scenes that maybe weren’t shown.”
When asked if she thinks Liz would ever come back to RHORI, Rosie said she has no idea.
“I have no idea,” Rosie said.
She also claimed that Liz does not really talk to many people in the group anymore.
“You know Liz doesn’t really talk to anyone in the group other than Kelsey and I don’t really know how much she’s even talking to Kelsey anymore,” Rosie shared.
Rosie added that, from what she has heard, Liz seems happy with her decision to leave the show.
“From what I know she is very happy,” Rosie said. “She was telling people that I know over July 4th that she’s never been happier and best decision she ever made.”
Liz, however, was quick to respond after Rosie’s comments were posted online.
“Since we’re going there, the viewers didn’t exactly get to see the whole picture of Rosie in season one 😘,” Liz wrote. “I look forward to that day.”
When one viewer sarcastically commented that everyone else is the problem, Liz replied by admitting she is not perfect — but warning that she may not be the only one.
“No im def a problem … if they ever choose to show the real Rosie, I won’t be the only one 😘,” Liz wrote.
The back-and-forth comes after Liz’s shocking RHORI exit, which has been a major topic among fans and cast members. Liz announced earlier this month that she had decided to step back from the show to focus on her family, work and passions.
Since then, several Bravo stars have weighed in on her departure. Tamra Judge said Liz had been “really struggling” with social media hate, while Dolores Catania defended Liz and questioned why she received so much backlash from viewers.
Liz has also shut down speculation that her exit had anything to do with “skeletons” or legal rumors, making it clear that she has never been investigated or involved in any criminal case.
