Ben Waddell is leaving Summer House after just one season.
According to Deadline, Ben will not be returning for Season 11 of the Bravo series. The model and television personality joined the cast during Season 10, but he and his girlfriend, Sabrina Belle, will not be coming back when cameras pick back up.
“Ben and Sabrina had the greatest time last summer. There’s so much love that exists between the friend group, and the entire Bravo family,” Waddell’s team said. “As for the future, time will tell. They’re looking forward to what’s ahead.”
Ben joined Summer House during one of the most chaotic seasons in recent memory. While he was new to the group, he still found himself in the middle of some cast tension, especially after his past interactions with Amanda Batula became a topic of conversation.
During Season 10, Amanda revealed that she first met Ben at a wedding in Italy while she was still married to Kyle Cooke. The story became part of the season’s drama after Bailey Taylor claimed Ben had wanted to sleep with Amanda. Ben later denied that there was any truth to the claim and said Amanda took it back at the reunion.
Ben’s girlfriend, Sabrina, also spoke out during the season to defend him after Bailey accused him of mistreating women. Sabrina praised Ben’s character and said he treats her with love and care.
Now, Ben and Sabrina are both exiting the show as Summer House heads into a major cast shakeup.
Season 11 is expected to begin filming around the Fourth of July holiday weekend, as the show typically films in the Hamptons through Labor Day.
Ben’s exit comes shortly after reports that Amanda Batula and West Wilson also will not be returning next season. Amanda and West’s controversial romance became the biggest storyline of Season 10 after the two confirmed their relationship following Amanda’s split from Kyle.
The relationship shocked the cast because West had previously dated Ciara Miller, who was once one of Amanda’s closest friends. The fallout dominated the reunion and bonus episode, with Ciara making it clear she felt betrayed by both Amanda and West, while Kyle had to process his estranged wife moving on with someone inside their friend group.
West has already confirmed his Summer House exit, saying on the Broadcast Boys podcast, “I wanted to tell it on my own but that [exit rumor] is true.”
He added, “In [Bravo’s] defense, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer.”
Amanda’s reported exit also marks a major shift for the franchise, as she has been one of the show’s most recognizable faces for years.
With Amanda, West and now Ben all out, Summer House Season 11 is shaping up to look very different.
