Ciara Miller is ready to close the door on her friendship with Amanda Batula.
The Summer House star is speaking out as the fallout continues over Amanda’s romance with West Wilson, who previously dated Ciara. And from the sound of it, Ciara has no plans to repair things with her former best friend.
While speaking with People on the amFAR red carpet on Saturday, May 23, Ciara said she is ready to move forward after a painful chapter involving both West and Amanda.
“Make it to the waiting and make it to the end of all of this. I’m excited to put it all behind me,” Ciara said. “The reunion was quite the day, but we are on to bigger and better and, you know, we can say goodbye to certain things.”
Ciara added that the reunion gave her a sense of closure, even if the situation itself was hurtful.
“I think it will definitely get some clarity. I think it was very cathartic. It’s one of those situations that’s unfortunate but you know, I’m so excited to move on from this. You can’t take everyone with you. It’s nice to be able to go into this next chapter of my life and have clarity on who is supposed to be there and who is not.”
When the reporter asked if she and Amanda are officially “dunzo,” Ciara did not hesitate.
“Yeah, for sure. Yeah. I wouldn’t do this to my worst enemy,” Ciara said.
The drama comes after months of speculation surrounding Amanda and West. Amanda announced her separation from husband Kyle Cooke in January, while West had previously dated Ciara. In March, Amanda and West confirmed their romance, which immediately sent shockwaves through the Summer House fandom.
Ciara and Amanda’s friendship had been a major part of the show for years, which is why fans were stunned to see Amanda move forward with Ciara’s ex. Now, it appears Ciara feels the betrayal is too big to move past.
The cast is expected to address the drama during the Season 10 reunion, with the first of three parts airing Tuesday, May 26. And based on the official trailer, Ciara is not holding back.
In the preview, Ciara speaks directly to Amanda about how hurt she feels after supporting her for years.
“Over the past six years, I have been your fing champion. I couldn’t fathom that I’d be sitting here pissed that you’re fing my ex!” Ciara said.
Ciara also accused West of using his relationship with Amanda to hurt her.
“[West] wants to embarrass me. He wants to get his last little word in and I hope it works. He’s with you to spite me!” Ciara said.
The reunion is shaping up to be one of the most emotional Summer House sit downs yet, especially with Ciara making it clear she is done protecting people who she feels did not protect her.
For now, Ciara seems focused on moving into her next chapter with clarity, even if that means leaving Amanda and West behind.
And according to Ciara, not everyone gets to come with her.
