Kyle Cooke is not here for fans calling his marriage drama fake.
The Summer House star clapped back after he and estranged wife Amanda Batula attended the premiere of their new Bravo show In the City and posed for photos together, leading some fans to question whether their recent relationship issues were exaggerated for cameras.
Kyle and Amanda have been at the center of plenty of speculation lately as viewers continue to watch the ups and downs of their marriage play out on Bravo. The couple, who met through the Summer House world and later tied the knot, have never been shy about showing the messy parts of their relationship on screen.
But after the two appeared together at the In the City premiere, some fans accused them of putting on an act.
Kyle quickly shut that down on Instagram.
“Guys, yes, Amanda and I took a picture together. I was just happy that she showed up; she almost didn’t come to a show that she participated in. Shoot me. Shoot me. But don’t call my life, my relationship, my marriage, and my implosion of a marriage fake. Guys. With all due respect, we’re all adults here and we all showed up to a premiere party. And yes, Amanda did not want to come, and I convinced her to come, and we took a photo together; grow the fuck up.”
Kyle made it clear that taking a photo with Amanda at a work event does not mean everything is perfect between them.
The Bravo star also seemed frustrated that fans were reducing a complicated marriage to a publicity stunt simply because he and Amanda were able to be in the same room and pose together.
Their latest appearance together comes as Bravo continues to expand the Summer House universe with In the City, a new series featuring familiar faces navigating life, careers, friendships, and relationships outside the Hamptons party house.
While fans may be used to dissecting every Bravo photo, Kyle is making one thing very clear. A premiere photo is not proof that their marriage issues are fake.
And according to Kyle, the reality is much more complicated than a red carpet snapshot.
