Dolores Catania is giving her honest take on the latest Real Housewives of Rhode Island drama, and she may have just dropped a little behind the scenes tea of her own.
During a recent episode of Two T’s and a Pod, Tamra Judge and Dolores recapped the newest episode of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island and discussed the explosive fight between Kelsey Swanson and Rosie DiMare.
The feud between Kelsey and Rosie has quickly become one of the biggest storylines of the season. At the center of the drama are claims that Kelsey may not have been fully honest about her “kept woman” relationship storyline, which has been a major part of her introduction on the show.
Kelsey’s storyline has focused on her leaving a long term relationship with an older, wealthy boyfriend after realizing she wanted marriage, children, and independence. Rosie, however, has questioned whether Kelsey’s storyline is current, claiming there is confusion among the women about whether Kelsey has actually been living that life recently.
That tension finally exploded during a massive argument at Rosie’s house, where Rosie kicked Kelsey out and called her a “slam pig.”
Tamra kicked off the conversation by bringing up Kelsey arriving at Rosie’s house with her “blaring siren.”
Catania admitted that the siren would not have gone over well with her either.
“Loud noises trigger me but I wouldn’t have thought that was funny,” Dolores said.
Tamra and Dolores then discussed Rosie bringing out the blueprints for her home during the argument. That moment immediately raised eyebrows, especially because the fight had already become heated and personal.
When Tamra mentioned the blueprints, Catania did not hold back.
“Its a set up. It doesn’t even matter how big your home is,” Catania said.
Tamra then admitted that Rosie is starting to grow on her and asked Dolores if she felt the same way.
“Me?” Dolores responded before pausing.
Catania then revealed she had a very different experience with Rosie.
“I felt that Rosie didn’t like me being there. I had a feeling that Rosie had something to do with me not filming,” Dolores said.
That comment adds another layer to the drama, especially since Catania’s role on RHORI has been a topic of conversation among fans. Dolores, who is best known for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, appeared on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island in a “friend of” capacity, but viewers have questioned why she has not been featured more heavily, while others understand why she wasn’t.
While Dolores appeared to understand Rosie’s frustration when it came to Kelsey’s siren entrance, she also seemed to call out the blueprint moment as a setup. And when it came to Rosie personally, Dolores made it clear she did not exactly feel welcomed.
The Kelsey and Rosie feud is already messy enough on its own, but Dolores’ comments may have just opened up a whole new conversation about what was happening off camera and whether cast dynamics affected who actually filmed.
For now, Rosie may be growing on Tamra, but Dolores does not seem fully convinced.
