Alicia Carmody is opening up about why she still hasn’t walked down the aisle with her longtime fiancé, Bill “Billy” Kitsilis — and it comes down to one major issue.

During The Real Housewives of Rhode Island After Show, Alicia shared that while she’s fully committed to Billy, their ongoing prenup discussions have created a significant roadblock in their nearly decade-long engagement.
“He came from nothing,” Alicia said, praising Billy’s work ethic and background. “His family was immigrants from Greece. He went to college and did it all himself. He’s worked so hard. He owns a lot of businesses… he’s not flashy. So, I think that, like, he is so protective, and I respect that.”
Despite that respect, Alicia made it clear she was never against signing a prenup.
“So I was like, I will sign a prenup. I don’t want to take away from what you did in the past… but, like, I just want something.”
According to Alicia, the issue wasn’t the idea of a prenup — it was what was actually in it.
Her attorneys reviewed the agreement and told her that Billy was “not even leaving [her] with a penny, nothing,” and she also revealed that her name is not on the home they share with their daughter.
The situation left her feeling unsettled and questioning the foundation of their relationship.
“It kind of made me feel like, you don’t trust me,” she admitted.
Alicia also pointed out the imbalance in their current dynamic, explaining that she doesn’t financially contribute to their household — something she says was encouraged by Billy.
“So, I feel like I live rent-free… I don’t really pay for anything. I pay for my nails,” she said, adding that deep down, it created insecurity about her role.
“I feel like people that know me and love me know that the reason why they love me the most is because they trust me. And the person that I shared a daughter with didn’t trust me.”
That feeling, she said, ultimately delayed their wedding.

“It caused a setback in our marriage. It’s made me feel like I’m not worthy enough.”
Still, Alicia acknowledged that her own insecurities may also play a role in the situation, agreeing when a castmate suggested that could be part of what’s holding her back.
Even with the challenges, Alicia had nothing but love for her fiancé.
“He’s the best guy. He would die without me, and I would die without him.”
While their relationship remains strong, it’s clear that until they can find common ground on the prenup, the wedding may continue to stay on pause.
