Kyle Richards is facing renewed attention over her complicated relationship with sister Kim Richards—and this time, it involves a lawsuit that took their family drama off-screen.
According to TMZ, the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed legal action against Kim in January 2025 in an effort to have her removed from a Los Angeles-area condo.
Court documents obtained by the outlet state that Kyle sought to evict her older sister from a two-bedroom Encino condominium, claiming Kim had been living there for years but was asked to leave in late 2024.
In the filing, Kyle reportedly requested possession of the property along with damages of $140 per day starting in November 2024 for every day Kim remained in the home past that point.
Kim did not respond to the lawsuit, and a default judgment was entered in March 2025 requiring her to vacate the property.
By June 2025, court records show the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve Kim with the judgment—but she had already moved out, allowing Kyle to regain possession of the condo.
The situation adds another chapter to the sisters’ long and often strained history, which has played out both on and off RHOBH over the years.
The timing is also notable. The lawsuit was reportedly filed just months after sources claimed Kim had relapsed following years of struggles with addiction, leading the family to take what was described as a “tough love” approach.
Despite the legal drama, there appears to be some progress.
During the Season 14 RHOBH reunion, Kyle and their sister Kathy Hilton shared an update, revealing that Kim had relocated to Florida and was “doing better.”
