After being released from prison in December 2025, the former The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star shared that she is currently living under strict home confinement.

“I’m on home confinement until August, or possibly a little bit before that,” she told People. “Everything you do has to be approved.”

While her movements are limited, Jen explained that she is allowed to leave her home under certain conditions — including basic errands.

“I can go to Target. It’s called hygiene passes,” she revealed. “You get to go to the store… to do your shopping and take care of things.”

Still, there are strict rules in place, including wearing an ankle monitor that tracks her movements.

“You can request to go out for employment reasons, for work, religious needs — whatever you need to do… but everything has to be approved.”

Jen was sentenced in 2023 for her role in a telemarketing scheme that defrauded victims across the country. After serving less than three years, she’s now focused on rebuilding her life — and her career.

“I still have a lot to say,” she shared, hinting at future projects. “Whether that’s in a book, on a podcast — there’s lots of options.”

One idea she’s already considering? A Broadway show.

“I really want to create a fictional musical about life in a woman’s prison. I think it would be a great Broadway show.”

At the same time, Jen acknowledged her past and the impact of her actions.

“I was wrong and should have done things differently,” she admitted.

As she works to repay millions in restitution, she says she’s also focused on advocacy — particularly for children of incarcerated parents.

“I found my way of healing through service… that’s something I’m passionate about.”

As for a return to reality TV, Jen isn’t ruling anything out — but says her priorities have shifted.

“Anything is possible,” she said. “Whatever I decide… has to align with my values and my family.”

For now, Jen Shah is navigating a very different chapter — one that’s far more restricted, but still very much in the spotlight.
