The Valley Persian Style star Tanin Nikpey is speaking out, and she’s not mincing words when it comes to her former best friend Sky Askari’s headline-making house hunt.
During an exclusive interview with Roxanne and Shantel on the AllAboutTRH podcast, Tanin addressed the growing fallout between her and Sky, revealing that the now-central house-buying storyline may not have been as real as viewers were led to believe.
When asked whether she and Sky ever had a conversation about protecting their friendship from the pressures of filming, Tanin admitted she never thought that would even be necessary.
“Like I assume me and my best friend are going to be on the same page the whole time,” Tanin explained. “Like, I didn’t even know she was looking for houses. And she’s not. So it’s just something you’re trying to portray here that I didn’t know about.”
According to Tanin, the most frustrating part wasn’t just the alleged fabrication — it was being completely blindsided.
“At least if you want me to back you, tell me, ‘hey this what I’m going with,’ but I don’t know anything,” she said. “All I knew is MJ did a house showing with her. She actually did show her some houses. They met at The Agency.”
That detail matters because the situation extended beyond casual browsing. Mercedes “MJ” Javid was actively involved in showing Sky properties — something that, according to Tanin, made the situation even more serious.
We asked Tanin if she ever confronted Sky privately once she realized the house hunt didn’t add up.
“I actually have a text that I was like, ‘you need to put this house hunting to bed.’”
Put it to bed.
Not exactly something you say to someone genuinely preparing to purchase a home.
And this isn’t the first time concerns have been raised. Just last week, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi revealed that MJ had allegedly spent months investing time and energy into helping Sky find a home — only to discover the financial picture wasn’t what it seemed.
“There was a lot of conversation between Mercedes and her,” GG shared. “What people didn’t know is MJ was doing real estate for her… and she sees they don’t have that.”
According to GG, MJ felt blindsided after dedicating time away from both her work and her son.
“So she was very offended that for a couple of months Sky had her away from her job, away from her son… I’m just getting heated for my friend.”
And as this season of The Valley continues to unfold, one thing is becoming clear — this isn’t just about a house, it’s about trust.
