Candiace Dillard Bassett is not playing nice in the Traitors castle, and she’s making it clear Rob should be nervous.
While promoting the series on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio with hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real, the former Real Housewives of Potomac star broke down exactly why she fired a warning shot at the Round Table and teased that the next episode is about to escalate fast. She also opened up about the possibility of returning to RHOP and why she’s excited to see NeNe Leakes back in the Bravo orbit.
Reflecting on her alliance with Lisa Rinna and Rob, Candiace joked that their trio was short-lived.
“While it lasted,” she said after Rinna’s exit.
When Danny teased that she was now stuck in the castle with Rob, Candiace shot back, “Get me out. Not today, Satan.”
Evan asked whether her vote against Rob was meant as a strategic signal. Candiace confirmed it was both a warning and a recalibration of how she saw the game.
“Both. It was both. It was his warning shot. But it was also, ‘Okay I see how you’re playing this game because you voted for Lisa. You kind of walked it back at breakfast and then voted for her again. So now you’re a liar. Liar.’ You’re a big, you’re a nasty liar. So I’m like, ‘Okay, if you’re, this is how you’re moving now. I gotta watch my back. So this is me telling you, if you’re gonna come for me, I’m gonna clear the table.’”
When asked if Rob could earn back her trust, Candiace kept it cryptic.
“You have to watch.”
But she didn’t hide her tone when the hosts joked Rob should be scared.
“He should be,” she said. “Yes. He should be afraid for his very life.”
Candiace warned viewers that the next episode is going to hit harder than fans expect.
“It’s gonna be intense and I’m not ready for the next episode. It’s gonna be really good, but, it’s gonna be good.”
Beyond Traitors, Candiace also addressed whether she would ever return to The Real Housewives of Potomac. She made it clear the door isn’t closed — but it would take the right circumstances.
“I never say never to anything. And, you know, if the stars were to align and, you know, and the zeros were to align, anything is possible. I don’t think there is a door I just walked out of. I walked out of like an open walkway, an open, an opening in a house to have my baby. I needed to be in a space where I could ensure my mental safety so that I could, you know, open up my lady parts and push out this child, right? He’s here, he’s walking and talking and, you know, saying everything under the sun. I’m in a different space. I feel like I am, I feel like I went through a portal when I had him. So I’m, I’m definitely not the same person. And I would be interested to see how do I maneuver in a room full of dustys.”
For now, her focus is on motherhood, her evolution, and surviving the Traitors battlefield — but Candiace made it clear she’s not afraid of a comeback under the right conditions.
