Meredith Marks is weighing in on the future of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and she isn’t ruling out major changes.

While appearing on Jeff Lewis Live, the The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star opened up about where she thinks the show is headed, including the possibility of a cast shakeup and her complicated feelings about reconnecting with Jen Shah.
When the conversation turned to the current state of the cast, Meredith made it clear she’s open to change.
“I think it would be great to have a little bit of a cast shakeup,” Meredith said.
Jeff Lewis agreed — and went a step further, offering his own producer-style solution to what he sees as an imbalance within the group.
“I thought about this. If I was a producer, how do I fix it?” Jeff said. “I think that maybe two people should be reduced. Their roles should be friend roles and I think that they should bring in one or two brand new women, preferably allies, for you and Lisa because it doesn’t feel very balanced at this point because you’ve got five girls against two.”
Meredith didn’t push back.
“Yeah. No, I happen to agree with you,” she replied. “I think it would be great to have a little bit of a cast shakeup. I don’t know what that means for who or what, but I do think it would be positive.”
The interview then shifted to a much more sensitive topic: Meredith’s relationship with former castmate Jen Shah.
“She called me two days ago… I’m rooting for her,” Meredith revealed.

Jeff asked for clarification, noting that Meredith had spoken to Jen while she was still incarcerated.
“You actually spoke to her when she was incarcerated. Is that correct?” he asked.
“Yes,” Meredith confirmed. “She called, I’d say about a year and a half ago maybe, and it was like a ten minute recorded call and it was, you know, very basic. It’s not, it was just, ‘How is your family?’”
Jeff then posed a bigger philosophical question.
“Do you believe in second chances?”
“100%,” Meredith answered.
When asked whether she could see herself having a relationship with Jen now, Meredith revealed that the recent call was not their first interaction since Jen’s sentencing.
“Well, she called me two days ago,” Meredith said.
Jeff reacted with surprise.
“Oh, she did?”
“Yes, and I spoke to her,” Meredith continued. “You know, I’m rooting for her. I hope that she can do her best to right the wrongs that she did, and I mean, she has served her time. That’s step one. She is paying restitution. I don’t know how much she has or has not paid, but she is in the process.”
Meredith went on to outline what accountability looks like to her.
“That to me is, step two,” she said. “Hopefully, she can get all these people paid back and show that she’s putting a positive foot forward and I would love to see that for her. I think everyone would. Why wouldn’t you want someone to be accountable, do their best to right the wrongs they did, and then move forward? That’s life.”
