Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga are finally speaking openly about their reconciliation, and for longtime Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers, it’s a moment that’s been years in the making.

The siblings, whose relationship has played out publicly on The Real Housewives of New Jersey for more than a decade, reunited on Teresa’s podcast, Turning the Tables, where they answered fan questions and reflected on how it felt to find their way back to each other after years of tension.

One fan asked Joe what went through his mind when Teresa finally reached out to reconnect — after so much distance, silence, and unresolved hurt.

“It was… I was just really… It was happiness,” Joe shared. “I was just happy. Definitely relief. It just felt really good.”

Joe admitted that the moment didn’t come as a shock — because he had been quietly waiting for it.

“I was just waiting for that call. I really was. I just said, she’ll call one day. She’ll call. I realized that,” he said. “Because I was waiting for you to call. It’s up to you. So it was your call. And I waited and it was great.”

For fans who’ve watched their relationship fracture over family loyalty, marriages, and shifting alliances, Joe’s words felt especially emotional. The siblings’ fallout became one of the most polarizing storylines in RHONJ history, with years of missed milestones, public arguments, and estrangement.

When the conversation turned to what it was like seeing each other again in person, both Teresa and Joe agreed the reconnection felt surprisingly natural.

“And really it was, right? Tell the truth. When we first met, it was easy, simple,” Joe said.

“Very easy, yes. Very easy. Very… Yeah, like I just saw him,” Teresa responded. “Like, yeah. Like no time had passed.”

Their reconciliation comes after a long period of reflection, distance, and — according to both — emotional growth on each side.

For Teresa, reaching out appeared to be a turning point after years of putting up walls. For Joe, it was a moment he had hoped for but never tried to force, choosing instead to leave the door open.

While neither sibling suggested everything is magically fixed, the tone of the conversation made one thing clear: the foundation of their bond is still there.

Good for them. I'm truly happy to see a family come back together again. All it took was to be away from the noise of "cast" members who benefited from keeping the fight going. ?

That's a good point ... bringing back some of the more vitriolic cast members would seem like a giant step backwards.
