According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Richards, 54, submitted photographic evidence accusing Phypers and his family of severely damaging the $1 million mansion they once shared. “Aaron and his parents and brother have severely damaged the [home] and left the house in a state of disarray,” Richards told the court.

The six-bedroom, five-bathroom, 6,985 square-foot property was left in what Richards describes as a deeply concerning state. The photos allegedly show “various rooms unorganized with items all over the floor,” with additional images showing “the property’s floors had been torn up and covered in clutter throughout.”

In response to the allegations, a source close to Phypers denied any wrongdoing, stating that neither he nor his family had trashed the home. In fact, the insider claimed, they had actually cleaned it up “a ton” since Richards moved out in 2023. The source also explained that any torn-up flooring was due to an ongoing renovation effort: “His family was in the process of replacing them.”

Still, Richards isn’t backing down. On August 20, she filed legal documents demanding that Phypers, 52, along with his parents and brother, vacate the property for at least eight hours. This request, she explained, was so she could safely retrieve her dogs, personal belongings, and items that belonged to her late mother.

Richards, who moved out over two years ago, said she left some of her possessions behind under the belief that Phypers’ family would be returning to Canada and that she and Phypers would eventually move back in together. “Aaron and I are still on the lease for the [home],” she explained. “When I moved out of the [home] over two years, I left many of my personal items and my late mother’s items at the house based on Aaron telling me that his family would be moving back to Canada and we would be moving back into the [home].”

The actress also cited an urgent email she received from the landlord on July 24, alerting her that the eviction process was about to begin. “The landlord has made it clear that Aaron has not been responding to his numerous calls and text messages,” Richards said. “If I am not able to retrieve my dogs and belongings, I believe … my property [will be] destroyed or discarded during the eviction process.”

In the same filing, Richards revealed that she had asked Phypers to be responsible for the rent starting in January “since his family was refusing to vacate the property.” She added, “I recently learned from the landlord … that in addition to Aaron and his parents not vacating the [home], Aaron has apparently not paid the rent on the [home] and left the house in a state of disarray.”

Another key point of contention is access to her dogs. Richards claimed she had agreed for them to stay at the house while she recovered from two surgeries earlier this year, but that “despite several requests, since that time Aaron has refused to allow me to retrieve my dogs and other personal items from the [home].”

The drama escalated further on August 3, when Richards entered the home and Phypers called the police. She claimed she was “shocked” by the “condition of the home” after having been gone for over two years.

With accusations flying and a potential eviction looming, it’s clear that the Denise Richards–Aaron Phypers divorce is far from over.
