Dr. Terry Dubrow did not take it well when his wife, Heather Dubrow, casually outed him for wearing shoe lifts, and he’s not afraid to admit just how furious he was.
The Botched star recently opened up to Decider about the moment he realized his own wife had spilled one of his best-kept secrets to the world. And his reaction? Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly namaste.
“I was so pissed,” he confessed. “I actually looked at her and said, ‘Why?’ I mean, I’m really not short. I’m 5’11”, but it makes me, like, 6’1”, which is kind of sexy and good.”
He didn’t stop there.
“To be perfectly honest with you, I was a little bit pissed. I really was. I could feel acid in my blood for about five minutes.”
And no, there was zero warning. Terry says Heather was probably “four champagne glasses in” when she dropped the bombshell. He found out at the same time the rest of the world did. His response? A very direct “Really?” via text, followed by Heather’s breezy “Oh, whatever.”
“I go, ‘Oh, whatever?!’” he said. “So what did I say to her? I said, ‘Bitch,’ is what I said.”
Of course, Terry can laugh about it now, kind of. He even joked about whether he should retaliate by exposing one of her secrets (though he admits most of them have already been aired on The Real Housewives of Orange County anyway).
Then came another twist: being compared to Vanderpump Rules alum Jax Taylor, who was also called out for wearing lifts. Let’s just say Terry didn’t love that part either.
“I don’t really know Jax. I’ve never met him, but I don’t necessarily want to be, certainly lately, put in the same category as Jax. He’s trying to work his life out. I’ve worked my life out. I think I’m good.”
Despite the mini-marital drama, Terry’s owning it now. Yes, there may be “another inch and a half” in his shoes, and no, he’s not hiding from it anymore.
