The 44-year-old model and reality TV personality took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, writing:

“I got married on July 10th to the love of my life. Prior to our marriage I had a slight manic episode, it’s been handled and he encouraged me to get help and also stay off social media. So I committed to that but now I’m back! HEALTHY, HAPPY, MARRIED to a good man #katievibes”

Katie has been candid about her struggles with addiction and mental health over the past several years. Her transparency, often raw and unfiltered, has resonated with fans who followed her journey since her time on The Real Housewives of Potomac.

Katie Rost first appeared on RHOP in its debut season in 2016. Known for her fashion model background and upper-crust Potomac ties, she brought a unique perspective to the cast. However, behind the scenes, Rost was battling personal demons that would come more clearly into public view after her time on the show.

In 2023, she shared on Instagram that she had been working a “12-step program,” writing openly about addiction recovery and her path toward healing. She has referenced attending rehab, dealing with trauma, and trying to stay grounded in sobriety.

In one of her earlier social media posts, she wrote:

“I’m a recovering addict. I relapsed last year after nearly a decade of sobriety, but I’m back on track now. I’m working the steps, I go to meetings. I’m committed.”

Over time, Rost’s updates have reflected both the difficulty of staying sober and her resilience. She’s spoken about losing custody of her child, reconnecting with family, and facing the stigma surrounding mental illness—especially as a Black woman in the public eye.

Her latest post seems to signal a major turning point, not just in her personal life, but in her mental health journey. By acknowledging a recent manic episode and sharing that she sought help, Rost continues her pattern of honesty.

While Rost hasn’t shared the identity of her new husband, she emphasized his support during her recent health struggles. According to her post, it was he who encouraged her to seek help and take a step back from social media. That pause, she implies, helped her stabilize.
Fans responded warmly to the post, many offering congratulations and sharing how inspired they are by her continued growth.

Still, Rost has never pretended her path is a smooth one. In earlier interviews, she’s admitted to feeling isolated during hard times and grappling with the pressures of both public scrutiny and private pain.

“It’s not easy to talk about relapse or mental illness,” she once wrote. “But I’d rather be honest than pretend everything’s perfect.”
