When a long-standing Hollywood marriage hits turbulence, the headlines often follow—but what happens after the spotlight fades is where the real story begins. For Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky, the past two years have marked a quiet evolution.

After nearly 30 years of marriage, the couple confirmed their separation—an emotional shift that played out gradually, not with tabloid drama, but with a shared sense of care and intention.
While Mauricio has since moved out of their family home in Encino, their relationship hasn’t dissolved—it’s simply changed form. The two remain committed to raising their daughters together and continue to show up for their family in meaningful ways.
During an Amazon Live stream, Kyle offered a rare and heartfelt update on where things stand today. Her tone was honest, calm, and even proud.
“I’m really proud of how we are navigating through this separation,” she said. “We’re great friends, and we love our daughters. We built a beautiful family, and it’s nice to know that even though we’re separated, we can keep it that way.”

She also shared how this dynamic has been a source of strength and support for their daughters—Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, as well as Kyle’s eldest daughter, Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, from her first marriage.
“It’s really been helpful to my daughters, too, to get through this,” she added.
While many might expect tension or bitterness, Kyle and Mauricio have chosen something different: friendship, respect, and a continued commitment to family.
