Dr. Nicole Martin is finally opening up about why she chose to walk away from The Real Housewives of Miami, and her reason has fans shook.
In a recent episode of the Scrubs & Stilettos podcast, Nicole revealed that her decision to leave the Bravo franchise came after a shocking betrayal — one that involved a private investigator.
“When we started putting the pieces together — ‘what is happening, why are we being followed?’ — one of my castmates confessed to me that the other castmate had told her she had hired a private investigator,” Nicole said.
“Because she wanted to move from a friend role to a full-time role, and she felt that if she had this secret and could drop this bomb, that would be the thing she needed to level up her friend status.”
Although Nicole didn’t name names, fans are convinced she was referring to Marysol Patton. Marysol and Kiki Barth are currently in “friend of” roles on the show, and it’s no secret that Marysol has openly expressed her desire to be upgraded to a full-time cast member. Marysol and Nicole also don’t have a good history.
Nicole admitted the situation left her feeling deeply uneasy.
“I was starting to have a lot of anxiety filming,” she said. “Because for me, I’m like, these are not my friends. Not everyone, but certain members of the cast — because Julia and I were very good friends. Adriana. Guerdy is my very good friend. Lisa. I had some good friendships with some of these women, but some of them were really antagonistic and out for blood.”
Nicole’s departure shocked many fans of the franchise, especially as she had become a standout cast member known for her intellect, style, and sharp wit. But as she made clear on the podcast, no reality show is worth sacrificing your peace of mind.
