After more than a decade away from Bravo, style icon Rachel Zoe is making her grand return — but this time, it’s not to helm a fashion reality show. Zoe is officially joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its upcoming 15th season, and fans aren’t the only ones buzzing. Bravo kingpin Andy Cohen is just as thrilled.
On a recent episode of his SiriusXM show Radio Andy, Cohen couldn’t hold back his excitement. “We are so excited about that, and to have Rachel, and it’s so wild,” he said, adding that she “really fits” with the RHOBH crew. “It’s just a perfect fit.”
The announcement comes at a pivotal time in Zoe’s personal life. Cohen reflected on how much has changed for her since The Rachel Zoe Project ended. “She’s at a real transitional moment in her life,” he shared. “I mean, I was really rocked by the news that she and Rodg were splitting up.” Zoe and her ex-husband Rodger Berman were married for 33 years before their recent split — a significant shift for the mom of two.
Cohen also revealed that Zoe has started dating again and feels like her “life is different” now than it was back in her Bravo fashion days. “I think we’re gonna see the Rachel that we love, but at a really different place in her life, and I’m really excited,” he said.
Before locking in her spot on RHOBH, Cohen made sure Zoe understood exactly what she was signing up for. “I spoke to her a couple months ago, and I was like, ‘Rachel, you know, I just wanted to make sure in our conversation that she really had her head around it, because, you know, it’s bananas, whatever,’” he said. Zoe, however, was all in: “I am excited. I want to be part of this ensemble. And I know them, and it seems like such a perfect moment to come in.”
Zoe herself confirmed the news in a video posted to her Instagram. “It’s official. I am coming back to Bravo,” she announced. “It’s been a while, and you’ve been asking me to come back to television… and now’s the time. Really excited to be with all of you again, and I hope you are, so let’s have some fun.”
