Jen Shah began her statement on May 30 with the Muslim greeting, “Bismillah,” meaning “in the name of Allah.” She addressed her followers with warmth and honesty, saying, “I pray that my supporters are SHAHMAZING and doing well. Over the past month, my team has shared with me the many loving messages provided by my supporters.”

She acknowledged some of the rumors and internet chatter about her, noting, “I’ve heard about the Met Gala references, the infamous GIF of my feet touching the snow in the heels from RHOSLC, and my personal well being. I am in great spirits and well.”

Jen Shah also took time to thank everyone who has supported her throughout her incarceration, which began more than two years ago. “The consistent love and admiration from my supporters, my loving family, and my faith keeps me going as I make it through this rehabilitative journey of coming home soon,” she wrote.

In fact, Jen shared a glimpse into her daily life behind bars, revealing that she remains dedicated to fitness and helping others: “I wanted to share a personal image that I mailed to my team of one of my shahmazing workouts. I remain consistent in my passion for fitness and helping other inmates achieve similar goals. You will see more soon.”

Her note concluded on a grounded and accepting tone: “I can only control what I can control.”

Jen’s legal troubles began in March 2021 when she and her assistant Stuart Smith were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud related to a telemarketing scheme, as well as conspiracy to commit money laundering. Though both initially pleaded not guilty, Jen changed her plea to guilty in July 2022.

In January 2023, she was sentenced to 6.5 years in federal prison, during which she expressed remorse, apologizing that “my actions have hurt innocent people.”

After reporting to Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas on February 17, 2023, Jen’s sentence was reduced by one year in March 2023, moving her release date initially from 2028 to August 30, 2028. Since then, her time has been reduced twice more, with her current projected release date being November 3, 2026, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database viewed by PEOPLE.

Early in her sentence, Jen Shah’s representative told PEOPLE that she was “doing well and remains committed towards making her victims whole.” They added, “She has initiated her payments towards restitution, and we hope to have her home as soon as possible so that she may resume life with her family and work, putting this chapter of her life behind her.”

Despite the hardships, Jen Shah’s message shows a determination to remain strong and connected. Fans of the Real Housewives alum will no doubt be watching closely as she continues this journey.
