Trump Appoints Ex-‘Real Housewives’ Star Siggy Flicker to Holocaust Museum Board

RHONJ's Siggy Flicker Tells All - Part One With AllAboutTRH Podcast

In a move drawing both attention and controversy, former President Donald Trump has appointed several new members to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council—including reality TV personality Siggy Flicker, best known for her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The appointments, announced on May 5, include Tila Falic, Rabbi Nate Segal, Lee Lipton, Jackie Zeckman, and Siggy Flicker. Trump also reappointed financial executive Jonathan Burkan, originally placed on the board in 2019. Burkan, honorary chairman of the Israel Heritage Foundation, returns to the role with Trump’s endorsement.

Trump praised the new appointees on his social media platform Truth Social, declaring:

“They are all strong supporters of Israel, and will ensure we, NEVER FORGET.”

The announcement follows the April 29 dismissal of prior appointees to the museum board, who were selected under President Joe Biden. Trump’s decision to replace them with 13 new members—including known supporters and allies—has reignited debate over politicization of national institutions.

One of the most talked-about appointments is Flicker, whose Instagram bio reads “#1 Trump Supporter.” Her profile features a photo of her with the former president, proudly holding an Israeli flag. In a May 8 Instagram post, Flicker expressed her gratitude:

“Thank you to the best President for appointing me to serve on the Holocaust Committee. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, this isn’t just an honor—it’s deeply personal. My father’s story is a reminder that silence is never an option. I carry his legacy with me, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to help preserve the truth and fight Jew-hatred.”

Presidents have been politicizing national institutions for decades (it's like what they do), the difference here is we have a President who actually knows who he's appointing. What's he supposed to do, appoint non-supporters? Speaking of the Holocaust, I was shocked to learn that there are still anywhere from 250-300K Holocaust survivors still living (in over 90 countries). Never in my lifetime could I imagined that we have history repeating itself with American institutions like Harvard actually supporting students calling for the extinction of Jews. Thank God we have a President is not putting up with it.
