During a recent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode, Kyle Richards once again found herself in the spotlight over her connection to country singer Morgan Wade. The topic came up during a group getaway to Saint Lucia, just days after pictures surfaced of Kyle’s estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, kissing another woman.
At a dinner on the trip, Kyle Richards and Bozoma Saint John had an honest conversation about Kyle’s emotional struggles with Mauricio. Boz revealed that not long after the photos of Mauricio emerged, she had a rather uncomfortable encounter.
“I ended up at SoHo House a couple of days later, and guess who I was seated next to? Mauricio, with his ‘girl,’” Boz said, prompting Kyle to correct her, “A girl.” The comment sparked a brief exchange of opinions, with Garcelle Beauvais chiming in, “Greece, Malibu, who knows where else… this doesn’t sound like a ‘random girl.’ Sounds like a ‘girlfriend.’”
Boz wasn’t done, though. She relayed the whole experience to Kyle in a voice note, which she played during a confessional. “She’s not cute,” Boz remarked of Mauricio’s companion. “If you’re going to do this, at least pick someone worth it. I seriously considered throwing him into the water.”
As the dinner conversation continued, Garcelle couldn’t hold back her curiosity about Kyle’s relationship with Morgan. She pointed out the double standard, questioning why people are quick to dissect Mauricio’s public photos with another woman, but stay tight-lipped when it comes to Kyle’s own rumored connection with Morgan.
“We’re all here to support you, but it’s a bit confusing,” Garcelle said. “We don’t really know what’s going on with you and Morgan, and I think it would help if we knew.”
Kyle’s reaction was immediate—she rolled her eyes and dismissed the suggestion that there was anything more to her relationship with Morgan. “There’s nothing to it,” Kyle stated firmly. “I had a scheduled appearance at her concert—what was I supposed to do? Avoid it? I can’t control the paparazzi, you know?”
The rest of the group wasn’t so convinced. Jennifer Tilly speculated that Kyle might enjoy keeping the media guessing. Dorit Kemsley echoed this sentiment, suggesting Kyle knew how to avoid being photographed with Morgan if she truly wanted privacy. Garcelle, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow at the constant press attention, asking, “Does the paparazzi follow her everywhere? Everywhere?”
Kyle ended the conversation with a cryptic note: “Maybe one day I’ll have a juicy story to tell you all, or maybe I won’t. Time will tell.”
Meanwhile, in a private conversation with Garcelle, Sutton mentioned that Kyle wasn’t the only one who had noticed Mauricio’s romantic interests. “He’s dating. She’s really single now,” Sutton remarked, advising Kyle to accept that their marriage may be over for good.
Though the couple remains separated, they haven’t yet made any official moves toward divorce.
