Major Casting Shake-Up Ahead for RHONY—Producers Eyeing New Faces Before Deciding Who Stays and Who Goes

The dust may have barely settled from the dramatic Real Housewives of New York City Season 15 finale, but the show is already gearing up for some major changes. With tensions running high among the cast, it’s clear that RHONY producers are making plans for a potential cast overhaul.

Sources have revealed to Us Weekly that producers are actively seeking out “potential new ladies” before they even make final decisions on who will return to the show next season. As one insider shared, “It depends on who they find… It’s unclear on how many cast members they are looking for — and who may stay or who may go.” This means that any of the current faces may be on the chopping block.

Fans of RHONY are no strangers to casting drama, but this time, it looks like producers are casting a wider net to find fresh personalities. “Producers are always putting feelers out to see if they can find anyone new,” the insider noted, hinting that no one’s job is safe just yet.

The Season 15 Drama That Could Change Everything

Season 15 of RHONY saw its fair share of unforgettable moments, including fiery feuds, emotional confessions, and plenty of jaw-dropping moments. The season finale, set in Puerto Rico, brought the simmering tension between castmates Brynn Whitfield and Ubah Hassan to a boiling point. The two engaged in a massive showdown, where accusations flew—none more intense than Ubah’s claim that Brynn had slept with someone to land her role on the show.

As the situation escalated, Brynn opened up about her past trauma, revealing that she had been sexually assaulted. Ubah, taken aback, denied knowing about Brynn’s experience, adding fuel to an already volatile situation. With the rest of the cast stepping in to separate the two, it’s clear that their relationship is anything but mended.

But despite the heated finale, fans were left wondering whether Brynn, Ubah, or any of the other cast members would return for another season. And it seems RHONY producers aren’t just sitting back waiting for answers—they’re already making moves.

Producers Begin the Search for New Blood

Even before the season wrapped up, signs pointed to casting changes. In January, fans noticed that Shed Casting—a company that’s worked on RHONY and other Bravo franchises—posted an intriguing call for new cast members. On Instagram, the casting agency wrote, “It’s that time…? Come and get your apple,” alongside a call for residents of Brooklyn and Manhattan who have “an organic connection” to someone already on the cast.

This casting call raised eyebrows, as it suggests that producers aren’t just looking for any new faces—they want to find people who already have ties to the existing RHONY crew. Whether this means a new Housewife will bring a fresh perspective or simply stir up existing drama remains to be seen.

What’s Next for Brynn and the Gang?

While fans continue to speculate about who will stay or go, the drama between Brynn and the rest of the cast is still fresh on everyone’s minds. During the Watch What Happens Live reunion in January, Jenna Lyons, 56, admitted she hadn’t spoken to Brynn in a while. Although she acknowledged that Brynn sometimes “stretches the truth,” she agreed that this time, the situation went too far.

As for Erin Lichy, 37, she seems ready for a shift in the dynamic. In a recent interview, she shared, “I think the show could use some new blood,” further fueling the possibility of new cast members joining the drama.

Despite a somewhat amicable reunion for Brynn and Ubah, it’s clear that RHONY is at a crossroads. The cast dynamic might be on the brink of change, with old rivalries lingering and fresh faces on the horizon. Could these changes be the shake-up the series needs to reclaim its spot as one of the juiciest shows in the Real Housewives franchise?

With casting calls already underway, the apple may soon fall into some very new hands.

Oh please, is that still on? Just bring back the originals or I'm not playing!

(Ubah didn't claim Brynne had slept with someone, she said maybe she did as a sarcastic crack.) I suppose it's too much to ask that we find a group of NY housewives who don't have a job..? Isn't including the name Housewife in the title supposed to mean that they are otherwise unemployed? Some of them aren't even married. Fix it Andy, you screwed up a good thing.

I don't mind a couple new people, but when they COMPLETELY re-boot the cast I stop watching.

I know! How about you just keep the women who are actual wives across all franchises OR just change the name of the show. Most ALL of the ladies are either divorced or never married. Does Miss Andy understand what a wife is???

Two words for this shake up . . .Lu Ann (bring her back & drop some of the boring losers in this sorry reBoot). Keep Jenna too.

Andy and his merry band of azzholes will never admit what a stinker their DEI reboot abomination was. I mean, it was New Coke (remember THAT abject failure?!) levels of embarrassing! ??? Oh, but I’m SURE the solution is MORE DEI! Cuz you KNOW they’re gonna try it. ? It’s like they sh*t the bed, then took a fistful of laxatives and have the actual NERVE to try and get back in bed with you! Wtf? HELL NO! Burn the bed to ash now that you can no longer restore it! ? ? ? ? And yeah…? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/aaec92d6d86a91a0071facb275f80be93a39728856d29090dfd63cec1d0a5e5b.gif

Andy and his bitch John have gone from butthurt over the election to becoming positively unhinged, especially where DEI, DOGE, and all the other policy changes. His juvenile rants are occurring on almost a daily basis, so I'm expecting him to double down on DEI nonsense while holding up his middle finger. His ego won't let him face the fact that the HW series in itself is winding down.

Wonder how much of that frenetic energy is fueled by the white coffee, the devil’s dandruff, the booger sugar, the ski slopes, the Peruvian matching powder? ? Hey where there’s smoke there’s fire and Andy has been looking ROUGH lately and aging horribly. Could just be his true nature coming to the surface or is widdle liberal Androo having a drug fueled meltdown? ? Either way, you’re spot on! Andy will attempt to spray Fabreeze in an overflowing sewer and fully expect it to camouflage the stench. ?

Thank you, Well Said!!!

Funny you mention his aging ... this very morning he was talking about a convo he was having with Ben who asked if his hair was going to turn white too (out of the mouths of babes right?), and Andy "slipped" adding that he was born in 1960. So then I went to his Wiki page, and sure enough! So according to my math, that dude is effing 65 yrs. old ... in which case he looks great.
Champagne Hangover March 11, 2025 - 4:40 pm
OMG! I thought he was younger than me for some reason. ? Yeah, if he’s 65, he does look pretty good. And you can tell no Botox (not sayin he couldn’t use a shot or two ? but you know it can SO easily start looking unnatural, why bother at 65.) Ok, now I KNOW dude better NOT being blowing rails! Holy moly! I can’t even have a second cup of coffee and I’m younger than Andy! That Hollyweird crowd, tho, who knows? ?

When he first came on the scene, his reported age didn't ring right with me, for reasons I can't go into, but for all these years I just figured I was just mixing up the years (which were admittedly a blur during those times). So now I've been vindicated!

Who is John?

I just don't think this show has made it. Maybe if it had been named something else but New York will always be the original cast. Too bad.
