Andy Cohen Slams Karen Huger’s Lawyers Following DUI Sentence

Karen Huger’s recent DUI sentencing has been the subject of much discussion, and none more pointed than Andy Cohen’s remarks during his latest live broadcast. The Real Housewives of Potomac star’s legal troubles have now reached a new chapter, and Andy Cohen, a long-time fan of Karen, didn’t mince words about the situation.

While the details surrounding Karen’s DUI conviction have been troubling for many, it was her fourth offense that made the consequences even more severe. Cohen, who has often been a supporter of Karen, shared his sadness about how things have played out for her. “I’ve been thinking about her a lot, and I’m so sad about this. I’m so sad about how this entire thing has played out. I am a Karen fan,” Cohen said during the live show.

However, the SiriusXM host didn’t stop at offering sympathy; he went on to question the handling of Karen’s case by her legal team. After hearing a comment from RHOP star Gizelle Bryant during the reunion, which revealed that Karen was offered a plea deal that included home confinement, Cohen couldn’t help but wonder why her lawyers had chosen to take the case to trial.

“I’m so sad about this… Drunk driving is no joke. It’s so bad, so that this was her fourth situation was tough to hear,” Andy Cohen remarked. “I’m not surprised that the judge was not playing, you know? I’m not surprised at all. And then hearing what I heard on the reunion last night from Gizelle, who said that she heard that she was offered a plea and home confinement for six months… Who were her lawyers that were recommending to go to trial on this when they knew there was body cam footage like that? I mean, it’s so sad.”

Cohen’s frustration is palpable as he questions the decisions made by Karen’s legal team, a sentiment that many fans of the show and Karen alike are likely to echo. The entire situation has brought a harsh dose of reality to the glamorous world of reality TV, reminding everyone that the stakes are always higher than they may appear on screen.

Andy are you trying to say that Karen did not have a say in her case? Please. She thinks she knows everything and obviously she doesn't.

Of course Miss Andy is going to blame the lawyers. His productions depend on free flowing booze and gummies to get the lunatics wound up. I've run out of hands to count the number of booze hound Bravolebrities.

B*tch please! ?? Stop making excuses for this heifer! KAREN was in the driver’s seat (both literally and figuratively ?). These were ultimately KAREN’S decisions. Her legal team can only ADVISE her what to do. She can either take their advice or not. If she refused to take their advice (which I bet you dollars to donuts, that’s EXACTLY what happened), the only recourse her legal team had other than to proceed with what they’ve got to work with (i.e., nothing) was to drop her like a hot potato which they SHOULD have done imo. However, that is their ONLY mistake here. They were not calling the shots. Karen was. This is still, ? start to finish, A to Z on KAREN and KAREN alone!!!

Andy wallows in victimhood … personal responsibility is not in his vocabulary (Liberalism 101).

I enjoyed Karen on the show – this version of her not so much . She probably thought her excuses were going to get her sympathy and go home .

All this greedy asshole is worried about is what impact her absence is going to make on the show, which really seems rather pointless considering Potomac is most likely (or should be) the next to go. You would think Bravo would start vetting the cons and grifters whom they love to exploit. It's really becoming just embarrassing at this point.
