Kandi Burruss Calls Out Bravo for Mistreatment of Kenya Moore in Season 16

Kandi Burruss is not holding back when it comes to her frustration with Bravo, NBC Universal, and the producers of Real Housewives of Atlanta. In a recent live appearance, the singer and TV personality voiced her anger over how Kenya Moore was treated during the filming of Season 16, especially regarding her exclusion from promotional materials.

For those who missed it, things between Kenya Moore and Bravo took a dramatic turn in the summer of 2024. Rumors started swirling that Moore had shown compromising photos of her castmate, Brit Eady, at a major event, which led to a serious fallout. The network quickly cut ties with Moore, leaving her out of the official season 16 promotional materials. However, Moore still made an appearance in the trailer, showing that she was far from being completely sidelined.

This situation raised eyebrows, especially for Kandi Burruss, who had become close friends with Moore over the years. After departing from RHOA in 2024 following 14 seasons, Burruss expressed her shock and frustration with how the network handled Moore’s role in the upcoming season. During a recent Amazon Live event, Burruss didn’t mince words about the situation, particularly Moore’s absence from the official cast portraits.

“I was pissed about that,” Burruss admitted, pointing out that Moore’s absence from the promotional materials seemed like an intentional slight. Burruss believes Moore is the driving force behind what will likely be an explosive first half of the season, and she doesn’t think the network’s internal drama with Moore and Eady should have impacted her inclusion in the season’s marketing.

Burruss took her criticisms further, even mentioning the return of Phaedra Parks, who left RHOA in 2017 but will make her return in 2025. Referring to a teaser featuring Parks, Burruss sarcastically remarked, “Then you threw somebody else at the end of the clip, honey, a twerk session,” while questioning why Moore, who filmed a significant portion of the season, wasn’t even included in the official cast photos.

Burruss also pointed out the unfairness of the situation, noting that even Cynthia Bailey—who is returning as a “friend of the show”—got an individual portrait, despite not being a full-time cast member.

“It’s the disrespect,” Burruss added. She made it clear that Moore had been a vital part of the show’s success and deserved better treatment.

To recap, the controversy began when Moore allegedly shared explicit images of Eady in a public setting, sparking an investigation. As a result, Moore was temporarily suspended by Bravo, and though the network eventually dropped her from the cast, her absence from the promotional materials is still causing a stir among fans and former cast members alike.

Thoughts on what Kandi had to say?

Does Kandi coated sex toy remember that what Kenya did was disgraceful , she lied for months that she didn’t do it , only to “ come clean” and finally admit she did what she did ? As a mother of daughter herself , how would Miss Kandi feel if someone did that to her ? I’m sorry but Kenya should’ve bent gone long before this . She made her bed . She needs to lay in it .

Kandi is a perpetual victim. Zero talent (artistically speaking), but apparently, a pretty decent head for business.

As if anyone really gives a flying F about ATL. Most of us jumped ship two seasons ago, and the new trailer doesn't wet my appetite (to return) in the least.

LOL. If Kenya is a good employee and takes her lumps, then she's be asked back. First step, take accountability, next step, Traitors 4. . .she's a Faithful (or maybe not). Then for Peaches sake, she's back to TWIRL.

Let's be Clear Kenya is to blame for all of this. What she did was wrong, but I do agree she should have been in the promo shots, and more of the trailer. That doesn't make sense.

Yup, Kenya has been around long enough to know better. She would have been smarter to take on the wiser big sis "Auntie" and/or OG kind of role instead of rolling around in the mud with these dumb heifers.
