On January 27, viewers were taken by surprise when Shed Casting, the team behind casting for some of Bravo’s biggest reality shows, posted a casting call for new RHONY cast members on Instagram.
“? Come and get your apple,” the official Shed Casting account teased in the post, signaling the beginning of the search for fresh faces to join the iconic New York City franchise.
Shed Media, the production company behind Real Housewives of New York City, as well as The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Basketball Wives, is already putting the wheels in motion for the next season. While Season 15 is still ongoing, with the reunion yet to air, it seems producers are keen to shake things up for the upcoming episodes.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Shed Casting answered frequently asked questions about the casting process, revealing that producers are particularly interested in women from Brooklyn and Manhattan who have an “organic connection” to someone currently on the show.
What Are They Looking For?
The casting call emphasized that the producers are looking for women who already embody a “Bravo lifestyle”—a term that typically signals a taste for luxury, high-profile social circles, and drama. Though no specific age range was outlined, producers are looking for women who are in their 30s to 50s, and whose personalities would complement the current cast.
Currently, RHONY Season 15 stars include Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Racquel Chevremont. Designer Rebecca Minkoff also appears as a “friend” of the wives.
As for the newcomers, Shed Casting made it clear that they’re not just looking for anyone to join the show—they want women who will fit in with the established dynamic and bring their own unique flair to the mix.
