Despite their divorce in 2019, Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice are still closely involved in each other’s lives — especially when it comes to their children. Their relationship may have evolved, but their shared responsibilities continue, including one surprising task Teresa recently took on: paying Joe’s taxes for 2023.

In a recent episode of her podcast Turning the Tables with Teresa Giudice, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed a surprising detail about her ongoing connection with her ex-husband: she paid Joe’s taxes in full for 2023. The conversation unfolded when we at AllAboutTRH podcast interviewed Teresa, where Teresa explained how she took care of the financial obligation despite Joe’s suggestion that she shouldn’t.
“I paid his taxes in full. He’s done now. And then he was telling me, ‘Don’t pay them.’ I’m like, ‘Oh yeah.’ He’s like, ‘Why are you paying them? I left the country. I’m not even there. You don’t have to pay them,’” Teresa shared with hosts Shantel and I. Joe, who now resides in the Bahamas, clearly didn’t see the need for Teresa to handle his tax situation. But Teresa’s response was clear: “I do have to pay them because we were married.”

In the conversation, Teresa also touched on the sometimes unusual ways Joe expresses appreciation. She recounted a recent message from him: “He’s not that mushy type. [But] he sent me something on Instagram, he’s like, ‘Just want you to know you’re the best mom ever.’” Teresa couldn’t resist poking fun at the sentiment, joking, “I’m like, ‘Yeah, you should put it out there in writing.’ I know I am. I don’t need him to tell me. My kids know it, that’s all that matters.”
Their relationship may be far from conventional, but it’s clear that Teresa and Joe continue to prioritize their daughters and maintain a respectful co-parenting dynamic.
