Teddi Mellencamp No Longer Asking For Sole Physical Custody of Children

Andy Cohen Talks Teddi Mellencamp Coming Back To RHOBH; Acknowledges That The Audience Views Her As A Villain But Says She Is A "Truth Teller"

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp and her husband Edwin Arroyave are separating after 13 years of marriage. It has been confirmed that Teddi  had an affair with her daughters horse trainer, Simon Schroeder.

Initially when Teddi Mellencamp filed for divorce, she asked for sole physical custody with Edwin having “reasonable and frequent,” visitation. At the time of Teddi Mellencamp requesting sole physical custody, it was unknown why she and Edwin were divorcing

Now Teddi Mellencamp is having a chance of heart. According to documents obtained by US Magazine, Teddi is seeking joint physical legal custody of their three children, Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4.

When Edwin Arroyave responded to the divorce filing, he also asked for joint legal and physical custody of their three children, despite Teddi wanting sole physical custody.

Teddi recently came out with a statement taking accountability for the affair she had but reminded fans that there is three sides to every story, “I have decided to not pander to the media and tell my side because in the big scheme of things means nothing and of course 3 sides to every story. How I can stand up and show up for the people that do does. This is called being an adult. This is what saying it with my full chest means”

Never was and will never be a fan of this cheater. The people who paid her as their accountability coach should get a refund of some sort. She should do what's right for their kids and not put herself first. I feel sorry for the pregnant wife (I believe) of the man she cheated with. You will reap what you sow Teddi...

Did she want sole custody for financial purposes?

That's how I saw it, she's wasn't putting the needs of her kids first.

Liars, cheaters and adulterers are the sole reason for the divorce and the breaking of the family. Awful wives, and a lying parent (both ways-laying down and just plain lair lair) should NOT be the primary parent in shared custody.

Custody should go to the spouse who did not destroy the family unit...with visitation under supervision for the one who did. She has already destroyed her children's lives. Who knows how many gigolos she will drag through her children's lives if she gets any sort of custody other than supervised visitation?

I normally believe that kids belong with their mothers, but in this case I'm not so sure.
