Andy Cohen is opening up on why the Real Housewives of Dubai has been put on pause.

Earlier this month it was announced the show would be on pause which shocked the Dubai ladies who thought they were going to film soon. The Real Housewives of Dubai reunion also had a series low with ratings at 189,000.
Andy Cohen is now speaking out on the pause calling it “smart business.”

It’s just smart business,” Andy Cohen, 56, said, while on the red carpet of Bravo Fan Fest 2024. “We have a lot of Housewives going right now. And it’s one of the reasons it took so long to get The Real Housewives of Atlanta going, and one of the reasons we’re in a deep pause with The Real Housewives of New Jersey. We just want to make sure we get everything right and be very deliberate with everything we’re doing.”
Season two’s cast starred the returns of Chanel Ayan,Caroline Brooks, Dr Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan and Caroline Stanbury, with Taleen Marie joining as a new housewife.

The Real Housewives of Dubai’s first season had a season average of 590,000 viewers while season two’s averaged 291,000 an episode. But Andy says the pause doesn’t have to do 100% with the ratings.
“The great thing about the Housewives in general is that the numbers are super high for all of them across the board, especially when you factor in Peacock and streaming,” he tells PEOPLE. “You can’t look at overnight or live ratings anymore. It just doesn’t tell the whole story. And when we’re making decisions, we’re really looking at the full picture.”
“We love these shows,” Cohen adds. “We all want to get it right.”

Miss Andy looking for some Dubai wives that aren’t drunk, sobbing, perpetual victims.
Good Luck!
As usual AC is FOS. Yes, the ratings are harder to gauge these days, but he has to know that just like many of the older franchises, Dubai has completely left our consciousness, although I would argue that it was never there to begin with. Dubai was was a bad idea from the start, at least for the American market. If they want to keep it going, then send it where it belongs, along with:
The Real Housewives of Melbourne
The Real Housewives of Cheshire
The Real Housewives of Vancouver
The Real Housewives of Auckland
The Real Housewives of Toronto
The Real Housewives of Johannesburg
The Real Housewives di Napoli
The Real Housewives of Durban
The Real Housewives of Athens
The Real Housewives of Dubai
The Real Housewives of Amsterdam
The Real Housewives of Lagos
The Real Housewives: Wives of Warsaw
The Real Housewives of Cape Town
The Real Housewives of Westeros
The Real Housewives of Abuja
The Real Housewives of Nairobi
The Real Housewives of the Winelands
The Real Housewives of Hungary
Pfft… Methinks it has more to do with scrambling to save the stinking (<—typo and it stays lol) ship that is Bravo at large. Face it, Andrew, Bravo is how many milliseconds away from MSNBC status? ? All them looming lawsuits aside, there’s only so many times you can sh*t the bed, Andrew, before we WILL both demand and receive a new bed. IJS. ?
I'm all for free speech and different opinions, because like how boring would it be if we all thought exactly alike on everything, but all the misleading information, hateful rhetoric, and just flat out intentional lying is out of control. I'm still giddy over the election in itself, but all these other awakenings and reckonings are something that I truly didn't see coming.
Well, buckle up cuz sh*t’s just getting started…?
The ratings would have been a lot higher if it wasn't aired in the summer. Stupid mistake, Andy. Dubai is way better than your stupid New York reboot. But I'm not surprised. The ladies probably didn't play footsie with him like the others in the States.
Mmm H’mm ?
I don't think this is true at all. I think Live ratings across the board are down and will continue to drop. Most people stream now or watched delayed to avoid commercials. Plus Peacock/HayU always air the uncensored episode or extenede and people want to see those.
