Jennifer Pedranti Claps Back At Emily Simpson On The RHOC Reunion Reminding Emily That Her Lifestyle Is Funded By Her In-Laws

Jennifer Pedranti destroyed co-star Emily Simpson on part one of the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion episode. 

On the season finale of RHOC, we saw that Jenn Pedranti’s fiancee Ryan Boyajian close friend, Matthew Bower ran an illegal bookmaking company. During the reunion, Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson who is not a practicing lawyer continued to talk on Ryan’s case explaining Ryan’s involvement.

Ryan has received full immunity but Emily Simpson wasn’t buying it. After Emily continued to talk on Ryan’s case, Shannon Beador got involved backing Jenn Pedranti.

That’s when Emily told the cast that Jenn’s story is the opposite of everything that she read with Jenn responding, “I’ve read your in-laws fund your whole life,” instantly silencing Emily Simpson.

In 2019, Emily Simpson had appeared on Watch What Happens Live and told Andy Cohen that her husband Shane’s parents are the ones funding their lavish lifestyle. Shane also has allegedly been unemployed for years. During the time Shane was studying for the bar exam, Emily admitted Shane’s parents were “helping them financially.”

A reddit user also spoke about Emily’s house in a thread about Emily’s finances saying, “The home they live in was bought by Shane’s parents. Sometime later, his parents transferred partial ownership interest to Shane’s name only with the remaining ownership interest staying with his.”

What’s surprising with this is Emily has come after Jenn Pedranti time and time again over Ryan helping her financially when Emily also receives help financially.

Emily is such an annoying busybody know-it-all, and her aggressive orneriness (along with Gina's) is not a good look. I get a sense that both of are just trying to be relevant at anyone else's expense. I wouldn't miss either of them.

I like Emily and Gina has grown on me, but let’s get real, we never really miss ANY of the broads like we think we would/will when they get the axe. And when or if we do it’s only after enough time has passed to create nostalgia OR the franchise in question has devolved into such a crap fest that we look to anyone or anything to save it. The RHONY we loved (sans Ebony K. Nobody) final season average ratings averaged mid 800K's. The reboot debuted at 600K-ish, and then steadily dropped. The second season is hanging on for dear life in the low 200K's! The jury is out ... the reboot is an undeniable flop. Asswipe Cohen is never going to admit it, but sooner or later he's going to HAVE to at least acknowledge it. The only person she has in that group who even comes close to matching her intellect is Heather Dubrow and I defy you to find a more insufferable creature. So, I cut Emily a little slack. ? It may be too much filler. One of the things that can happen using filler as a sort of ‘liquid facelift’ is that if your injector is not careful, even just a wee bit heavy handed, it can (and often does) make your eyes look smaller. In Korea, they are FAR more conservative with their use of filler, but it remains SUCH a cash cow here I don’t know if the conservative use trend will EVER arrive on our shores. Less is more with filler and none is even better for most people ? but nonetheless…?

I think the only reason Andy brought it up, was earlier in the season, Emily and her husband had a conversation about how obsessive she had become about going to the gym and how her husband didn't. I think Shane had concerns. Within the context of the season, the question made sense, but I can see how in the moment of the show it would sound so out of context and rude.

Shannon is way overfilled too. And she's gained weight. She really did look youthful this season but the filler and weight gain have undone that face lift. Her eyes are puffy too. I also noticed this in her confessionals which i think are taped after the season ends.

A handout is a handout (bills paid or not). When Emily acts as Judge 2.0 (not an attorney, unpracticed) then Emily has zero credibility to be two-faced or two-side in this storyline. Stick a turkey sandwich in that mouth and keep quiet. Jen is getting her voice.

Love that Emily finally got called out for living off her in-laws. The look on her face is priceless. She loves to act like she's self made by telling everyone she's an attorney when she hasn't practiced in years. She may have a law degree but that doesn't make her a "lawyer". I don't think her husband works either. This one definitely goes to Jenn. And to Emily's mother! She knows the real reason her daughter trashes her on TV all the time...because she's not rich and is therefore of little use to Miss Emily except for a story line. Yes, I said it so there!

Correct me if I’m wrong, BUT however it is that Emily receives her funding, it is, first and foremost, completely LEGAL ? and neither she nor Shane neglect to pay their bills with in in favor of Rolex watches and glam squads, thereby risking the very roof over their children’s heads. <— Neither she nor Shane have done THAT, correct? So, while Emily may have very well been better off shutting her gob about Jenn’s finances and maybe even deserved a little in context b*tch slap when she took it too far, this is still apples and oranges. And Emily is WELL within her right to clarify those all to salient points imo.

I thought it all came to a head cuz Gina felt (understandably so) deceived and used by Jenn whom she vouched for on the rental from which Jenn got evicted for being a deadbeat. ? Already we got LEGAL issues with this one ? THEN it’s shady ass Ryan to the rescue with his sus AF money pot ?. Aw, HELL NAW! Emily may not be a practicing attorney but that doesn’t mean she never will be again, and Shane IS. As attorneys, they are bound by STRICT codes of ethics which includes even the *appearance* of impropriety. (It literally states that). So, yeah, I can see Emily wanting to distance herself from this shadiness for that reason alone (even tho not in a professional setting), but also not being enthused about being socially associated with a dead beat and her shady beaux, immunity or otherwise. IJS.

No one blames the agent for the going ons of their clients, financially or otherwise. The lessor runs the credit (and sometimes background) check on the lessee ... period. If Gina vouched for her personally, she made a rookie mistake. Similar was when Gina talked about her potential "$356K" commission on Elizabeth's house in PS they were staying in, failing to mention the four way split between the agents and their brokers.

Jenn, an indisputable deadbeat, did not pay her bills (some of which were in violation of a previous agreement with her ex according to him), got EVICTED and had to be rescued by a sketchy dude whose coin AT LEAST deserves a side eye ? I don't think Shane works that much if at all. They live off his parents wealth which is why the house is in his name only ( I think I read that somewhere). I have no use for the deadbeat thing either. Okay, I understand that mothers can get into a financial mess when going through a divorce BUT I really didn't like her trying to justify it. If she said that she felt at least some regret for stiffing that landlord, I would likely feel differently. But she tried to justify skipping on that rent. ?

Jenn is 100% correct about Emily being an enormous hypocrite to her and Gina. Emily judges Jenn for getting financial help from a finance, Ryan, and her father, while her and Shane have lived off the generational wealth of her in-laws since day 1 on the show. They purchased their home and much more allowing Emily to quit her job so Emily needs to stop as does Heather, as her partner helps her as does Ryan now!

I have a degree from a great college too but I’m not even working in the field I went to school for ( at least I’m working ) How would Emily like reminder of how long it took Shane at his age to pass bar ? Anyway the point for me is - why do grown women on cast worry so much about Jen’s finances and who is paying ? It’s literally no one’s business and it’s not part of being cast .When people all over world have one income households do they get bullied about it? What right is for Emily to hound about ?
