Bravo alum Crystal Minkoff claims she was told RHOBH was “Kyle Richards‘ show” when she first joined the Real Housewives franchise.
Crystal Minkoff recently appeared on the October 17 episode of The Viall Files, where she naturally discussed her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The 40-year-old joined RHOBH during season 11 in 2021. She starred on the show for three seasons before exiting the franchise in 2024 ahead of season 14.
While discussing RHOBH, Crystal shared an interesting tidbit about the show.
“When I started the show, I was told by the girls, ‘This is Kyle’s show,’” she said. “They let you know.”
One of Nick Viall’s podcast co-hosts could understand why someone would tell Crystal that Kyle is the first Housewife that comes to mind when thinking about RHOBH.
Kyle is the last remaining OG of the Beverly Hills Housewives franchise. She has starred on the show since its inception in 2010.
Crystal continued, “It’s a sorority. I was being hazed, and she’s like, the queen, the den mother, whatever. Yeah, the president. And she’ll always be president.”
She added, “It’s her show.”
The RHOBH alum later clarified her comments on social media after some twisted her words from The Viall Files podcast.
“1. Kyle never said this to me! 🙂 2. It was not meant in a bad way at all. I respect the rules that came before me,” Crystal commented on Bravosnarkside’s Instagram page.
Meanwhile, Bravo fans had varying opinions on Crystal’s claim that RHOBH is “Kyle’s show.” Some fans agree that Kyle is the Queen of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, while others think she doesn’t deserve the title.
“She is the show! She has most definitely earned it too. Kyle will always be my favourite housewife! The OG,” one fan commented.
“It is Kyle’s show … she’s the only OG left lol,” a second fan wrote.
“Well duh ofc it’s the kyle richards show just like jersey is the Teresa show,” a third fan shared.
“It’s is Kyle’s show and don’t you forget it,” a fourth added.
“Which is crazy bc Kyle is the most mediocre OG there is,” someone else commented.
Another fan shared, “@lisavanderpump is & will always be the queen of Beverly Hills.”
“Sorry, but when I think of BH, I still think of LVP; she hasn’t been on in ages, but she’s still there for me,” someone else wrote while another fan agreed, “Yes, after Lisa passed the crown to her.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 14 in late 2024 or early 2025.
