A new report claims that the RHONJ cast is “blaming” Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga for low ratings and the show’s “uncertain future” after the season 14 reunion was canceled.

The RHONJ franchise is used to bringing in big numbers for Bravo, but the tides have changed this season due to the drama on social media and among the cast. Days after news broke that Bravo canceled the RHONJ season 14 reunion, the series experienced its lowest-rated episode in the franchise’s history, bringing in less than 700,000 viewers.

Now, sources reveal that the RHONJ cast believes Melissa Gorga‘s estrangement from Teresa Giudice, which has led to a divide among the cast, is to blame for the series’ less-than-stellar season.

“It seems like the cast is in part blaming Teresa and Melissa’s feud for the poor ratings and the uncertain future,” the insider revealed to The U.S. Sun. “Fans followed their relationship since Melissa became a housewife in season three and they want to continue to see the ups and downs.”

As RHONJ fans know, Melissa and Teresa did NOT interact at all while filming season 14, forcing the rest of the cast to take sides. Fans aren’t enjoying the divided cast and some call for Bravo to overhaul the franchise for season 15.

Viewers have made it known on social media that they are not happy with the “change in dynamics and friendships” on the New Jersey Housewives franchise.

“And as of last week, the cast each got a phone call from the network and said to no longer hold the date because they’re not going to have a traditional reunion,” the insider shared. “There’s no resolution to how this season ends.”

The source adds that once the “dramatic” season 14 finale airs, “it will become clear why there’s no reunion.”

“All of the cast is in the dark about the reunion and even what’s going to happen after this season is over. It’s still too early to know about season 15, but everyone has no clue,” the source continued. “[They have] no clue if there is another season or even who is safe and who is on the chopping block.”

“It seems like the cast is more anxious about what’s going to happen next and just waiting for another update,” the insider said. “Everyone is walking on eggshells. They’re scared of speaking out and possibly having it backfire and putting their job on the line.”

Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Sundays at 8 pm on Bravo.

I don't believe the current dynamics within the cast has anything to do with Jersey's poor ratings ... I think the entire HW series is just winding down. High quality, scripted television seldom lasts as long as this fake mindless crap.

I doubt they are blaming either because without saying Teresa every episode , every season , every year they have no check - no show . What is a downer is that yes a family still torn apart for that check and one side , that is way too old to act a fool - throws tantrums , causes division, slings mud and gives ultimatums . Who the hell enjoys THAT? Marge and her minions she holds hostage with said mud - need to go .

Oh, please . Teresa and Melissa have carried this show and ratings for 14 seasons, (14 and 11) both taking turns being the targets with Jen and Jackie having a turn each. If Teresa and Melissa would have just not been speaking, having their family beef, and all else stayed the same, all the cast going to events, all talking and participating as they 100% should have, the season would not be the implosion that happened. But instead, Marge was so freaked to even be the target once, she went scorched Earth and decided she also wasn’t going speak to this one or that one, (Teresa, Jen and Jackie) and then Rachel after just ONE season decided she didn’t want to speak with Teresa, and Danielle didn’t want to speak or invite Jackie, and then Marge and Melissa didn’t show up for filming for either Teresa or Jen’s events and on and on! No! The whole cast, led by Marge having them pick sides, blow off filming was the problem. Then add too much of the men filling in. Why production didn’t stop this, no idea? Why weren’t Marge or Delores the main storyline this season, they are main Housewives, why after all this time? Online, many of Teresa fans say they are sitting out watching after hearing her be the target once again this season. Reached their limit. Tuned in for WWHL, but not the show.

I think not having Melissa as a bridesmaid drew the line in the sand, and then it got real when the Gorgas didn't go to the wedding. But there's a lot of life ahead, and I think it is still repairable.

I agree, and maybe that wasn’t the best example to send the whole cast, but I still go back to their is a “hierarchy or dues” of Housewives like it or not and it’s one thing for after 10-14 seasons Melissa and Teresa giving everything to this series and both of them always being the topics/targets from jail, the husband fightings, strippergate, etc if they need to take a “time out” especially as family, just between those two to let things cool it makes sense. But everyone else wasn’t supposed to jump on board was the point. No one else on the cast has such extreme relationship issues they couldn’t show up for filming for each other or talk. One phone call should not have been catastrophic to Marge. That is what they get paid to do!

ITA ... Teresa and the Gorgas are the only cast members with presumably legitimate issues (and pretty much exempt from firing). I think by canceling the reunion, Bravo is reminding the rest of the cast that they are easily replaceable.
