Katie Maloney is clapping back at Pump Rules co-star Lala Kent for attempting to create issues between her and Ariana Madix during part one of the season 11 reunion.
After part one of the Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion aired on Tuesday night, Katie Maloney took to Instagram to fire back at Lala Kent‘s claim she talked poorly about Ariana Madix behind her back all season long.
Kaite Maloney shared:
“I’m someone who has suffered from imposter syndrome for as long as I have known myself. Hence, why I was apprehensive about opening the sandwich shop on my own. So when Ariana was going through not only a world of hurt but also getting some amazing opportunities. That changed a lot of things during a pivotal time. I was extremely sensitive to what she was going through but also very supportive. 1 was also dealing with immense insecurity about what I could take on and simply didn’t want to put that on her. I had an emotional response that didn’t feel appropriate bringing to her front door so I went to where I felt safe. Or where I thought was safe. Until I could find the appropriate conversation was to have with Ariana. Which, of course, I did. And we have had plenty of since.”
During part one of the Pump Rules season 11 reunion, Lala Kent and Katie Maloney attempted to explain what caused their fallout. However, their version of events didn’t quite line up.
“It started because she and Scheana got close, and Scheana and I were not in the greatest place,” Katie said before Lala added, “Here’s the difference. I treat my enemies like my enemies. But Katie and I have come a really long way so I want to choose my words wisely when I communicate with her. In the initial DM when she was upset about Scheana, what she put in there was extremely hurtful.”
Lala then accused Katie of sending a cruel message about her custody battle: “She just talked about my custody battle. You said, ‘Get rid of your lawyers because what you need is a f—king therapist. You are a f—king clown.”
Kaite admitted calling Lala a clown but never recalls saying anything about her lawyers. She also noted that she suggested a therapist to Lala as support.
As Katie and Lala continued to bicker about their friendship issues at the Pump Rules reunion, Ariana Madix became the topic of conversation.
“I felt abandoned by you this season,” Lala told Katie, who fired back, “Why because I didn’t want to jump on the Tom train?”
However, Lala said her issues with Katie Maloney stem from her decision not to discuss certain issues on camera.
“We both had conversations about this … It was that [Ariana] basically abandoned you in this sandwich shop. This time last year you said she wasn’t caught up on her rent for the sandwich show,” Lala noted. “I know what I am talking about.”
Katie denied Lala’s version of events but admitted to having certain frustrations with Ariana throughout the season.
“[Ariana’s Broadway job] was the one time I wish I had gotten a little bit of a heads up because I didn’t find out about the Broadway thing. I was like, ‘That would have been nice to know,” the Pump Rules OG admitted. “The issues I was having was because of my own insecurities.”
Lala then accused Katie Maloney of not being honest.
“You and I are truth-tellers. We say s—t how it is. So why, when the camera goes up, am I suddenly the enemy when I am talking about the same s—t we said on the phone?” she asked. “There were a few people here that were sitting in the comments section all the livelong season. Katie is one of them. Scheana and James.”
“It is no secret that Ariana is a fan favorite,” Lala continued. “You don’t f—k around with that.”
Katie stood her ground, denying that she was speaking badly of Ariana behind her back.
“I came to you because I didn’t want to go to her with that drama. I didn’t want to guilt her, so I went to one of my other friends to vent about it,” the 37-year-old Pump Rules OG explained. “But if you are not one of the people I can confide in, then I will go to someone else. I didn’t want to take it to her.”
The 33-year-old then claimed Kaite “lost her mind” on her during one phone call, while Katie says Lala wanted her to throw Ariana “under the bus.”
“I wanted to film a show and suddenly the name of the game is different,” Lala shot back. “You said, ‘I am not going to say these things because I invested a lot of money in this sandwich shop. If you are going to f—k with my business then I will f—k with yours.’”
Part two of the Pump Rules Season 11 reunion airs Tuesday, May 121 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
