It seems that a reboot of Vanderpump Rules may be in the works after Bravo put the series on pause for the summer. Get all the details.
On Monday, May 13, Bravo fans noticed that several members of the Vanderpump Rules cast removed the show and any mention of Bravo from their Instagram bios.
Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, and Tom Schwartz all dropped any mention of Bravo and Vanderpump Rules from their social media profiles.
The Reality TV Guru shared: “Wait the whole cast it out and removed the Bravo TV. Did they get the your all fired notice today?”
Adding, “#PumpRules is the show getting a reboot and they were all [given] notice?”
It’s unclear if Bravo is officially rebooting Vanderpump Rules but rumors have been swirling claiming just that.
Earlier this month, Andy Cohen confirmed that Bravo was putting production for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules on hold for the summer.
If you’re a longtime Vanderpump Rules fan you know that the show notoriously always films May through August. However, this summer that won’t be happening.
“Well, I saw that. As y’all know, I don’t produce Vanderpump Rules,” Andy said on his SiriusXMradio show, Andy Cohen Live.
He continued, “Yeah, we used to do this all the time with the Housewives. We would say, “You know what? Let’s put cameras down for, you know, four or five months and come back to them,” and they will have lived, you know, life. Things will be different. I think that, you know, I was talking to Ariana about this on the after show last night. I was saying, people do forget, especially as it relates to Ariana, who was the one cheated on.”
“People forget that we picked up cameras a few, three months after she found out about that affair, so that’s why she’s still in the violently angry stage and you can understand that, so I always think it’s great. Look, sometimes you want to pick cameras right up quickly because there’s stuff happening and you want to get in there right away and sometimes you do want people to live their lives and see how things develop and you know, so, I think it’s a very good idea.”
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Lala Kent is in talks to join season 2 of The Valley. Scheana Shay is also reportedly considering joining the spinoff show.
In fact there is some gossip going around that Bravo plans to shift the majority of the Vanderpump Rules cast to The Valley then re-boot the long running bar franchise altogether with a whole new cast. Other rumors even suggest that Katie Maloney and Ariana Madixcould get their own spinoff show focusing around their sandwhich shop, Something About Her.
At this point, all of this is pure speculation as Bravo has yet to confirm or deny any casting rumors. The network recently renewed The Valley for a second season, per Variety.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 11 three-part reunion kicks off Tuesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
