Annemarie Wiley Fired from RHOBH After One Season

RHOBH newbie Annemarie Wiley lectures Sutton Stracke about her health issues.

Another one season wonder bites the dust! RHOBH’s Annemarie Wiley announces that she was not asked back for season 14.

On Thursday, Annemarie Wiley revealed that she will not be returning to RHOBH for season 14.

Via Instagram, the RHOBH newbie shared:

“I just got word today that I will not be returning to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement.

I never auditioned for this show. The show found me and asked me to be on it out of the blue 6 weeks after the cast had already started filming. I was thrown into filming 2 weeks later, mid-season. I was very excited about the opportunity, and I thought following exactly what I was instructed to do throughout filming last season was the way the “game was played.” Listening to what I was instructed to do was my rookie mistake. What I am disappointed about is that the fans never got to see the real me or even a glimpse of my unique life story… Contrary to what was shown on TV, I am not obsessed with the esophagus! LOL

What I am is a woman, a proud black woman, who is truly blessed with a wonderful strong black man as my husband who lifts me and our four wonderful children up with so much love and positivity on a daily. It was an important mission of mine for the next season to show a solid black family unit and that “true black love” exists, even in Beverly Hills… my struggle with losing my mother to lung cancer within weeks of taping, and my struggle with adoption trauma and what was going to be, and still will be, a new life journey for me to find my biological parents.

All of which was taped, but never shown last season…among other things.”

The 40-year-old CRNA then sent a special thanks to RHOBH fans who saw the “real” Annemarie throughout season 13 of RHOBH instead of what producers attempted to “portray.”

Annemarie wrote:

“To the fans that saw past what was portrayed and saw the REAL me, thank you so much for the love and support.  I wish all the ladies good luck on the next season and thank you Bravo for the opportunity.

As an athlete, challenges only make you stronger and more determined to prosper! I’m excited for the new opportunities ahead that celebrate positivity, truth, authenticity, and the values I truly align with.

Until we meet again! Thank you!”

Annemarie Wiley joined the RHOBH cast during season 13. While she was an official cast member she wasn’t introduced on the show until mid-way through the season. Also her personal life was not detailed on the show at all, which is odd for a full-time cast member.

It’s unclear if Bravo chose dial back Annemarie’s role on RHOBH throughout season 13 due to the rape allegations that came out against her husband, Marcellus Wiley, at the start of the season.

Annemarie and her husband former NFL star Marcellus Wiley

In November, the former NFL defensive end was accused of raping a Columbia University student during his time at the school 29 years ago.

The female victim, now a professor and sociologist, filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court. She accuses Marcellus Wiley of attacking her in the fall of 1994. At the time, Marcellus was a sophomore and the star running back for Columbia University’s football team.

Neither Annemarie nor Marcellus ever publicly addressed the allegation.

When it comes to season 14 of RHOBH, production reportedly begins in April.

It’s unknown if any RHOBH cast members have been offered a contract for season 14 yet. However, Kathy Hilton is rumored to be returning as a friend following her surprise appearance at the RHOBH season 13 reunion.

Season 13 of RHOBH starred Kyle RichardsDorit KemsleyErika JayneGarcelle BeauvaisSutton StrackeCrystal Minkoff, and Annemarie Wiley.

Many fans have been vocal about their desire for a casting shakeup on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Oddly enough many fans want Crystal Minkoff back after her shady side finally emerged throughout season 13 and at the reunion.

Fans have also grown tired of Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne’s stale storylines and their inability to bring the drama.

Speaking of casting shakeups, Kyle Richards admits that her decision to return for season 14 will most likely be a last-minute choice.

Only time will tell if Bravo changes or shakes up the RHOBH cast for season 14, but stay glued to AllAboutTRH for all the latest news.

RHOBH is expected to return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.

Thoughts on this news? Are you surprised Annemarie wasn’t asked back for season 14 of RHOBH? Sound off in the comments!

It's clear from Annemarie words that RHOBH is in trouble. Last minute casting and in midseason equals the production company can't find new talent/stories. Stale cast and boring stories screams a REBOOT.

No big loss.

Comes as no surprise, considering Andy completely ignored her at the reunion. What's sucks is that Garcelle, Crystal, and Sutton's boring asses are undoubtedly still there. BH has a treasure trove of talent of whom they can call in (Camille, Denise, Kim, Rinna, Brandi (um scratch that last one), so it's time to refer to the rolodex.

Oh, they will find another wtf to replace 8.5. Trust me on this. Let’s just hope the special unicorn replacement doesn’t have a gropey @ss husband along with the inevitable delusions of grandeur. ? https://media0.giphy.com/media/9G3xfVDqnrkftRX3dA/giphy-downsized-small.mp4

They tried it, but it's time to get back to the basics. Either that or add 3 White chicks to ATL, and we'll STFU.
Champagne Hangover March 22, 2024 - 3:45 pm
Lol. Bending over backwards to be fair (and I’m talking full on gymnastics style back bend), it makes SOME sense for ATL to be monochromatic. As you know, I’m from ATL and there’s a lot of black history in ATL; it’s a Mecca for black artists/entertainers, so I get it. Is it straight up pandering and hypocritical? Sure, but they struck ratings gold with it at one time so I can see wanting to keep a formula that worked and even wanting to make it work when it stops working. I get it. But BH is just absurd. It’s all so cringeworthy and embarrassingly forced and inorganic. And I can guarantee you there’s more to come because Bravo. ?

Yes they have indeed infiltrated the once beautiful city, but for me, ATL will always be Designing Women, home of Tara, and of course Blanche Devereaux. https://media0.giphy.com/media/3oKIPrvI28CnbfIqQg/giphy-downsized-small.mp4

Yeah, there’s that and it’s totally overlooked in ATL for sure…but meh, they captured that on Southern Charm…at least the first few seasons. But you get what I’m saying there’s stuff that kinda sorta makes at least some sense (ATL), then there’s stuff that makes virtually no sense at all (BH). They may as well go full on, out and out scripted tv because the fakery is so blatant, it’s insulting. They are one step away from throwing a bunch of strangers together anyway…or I guess they already essentially did with that heinous RHONY reboot. ?

Girl, don't go away mad. Just go away.

Speaking of Tombstone, I just saw it for the first time ... which everyone has always said is SO GOOD! I thought it was cheesy as F ... doesn't hold up.

Never saw it, but I LOVE that gif. So useful. ?

Since I can't stand much reality TV anymore or stomach more than 10 mins. of news, I've marked two other "finally saws" off the list as well, ... Forrest Gump and Dances With Wolves. BOTH absolutely outstanding which lived up to the hype.
Champagne Hangover March 23, 2024 - 7:19 pm
I haven’t seen either since they first came out. Nostalgia…?

I wanted her to have another chance but I think Garcelle has the "Proud Black Woman" thing covered on this show. The show isn't a documentary about race. However, I don't think it's fair to have followed the bad advice the producers gave her and then have the show fire her. Not cool.
Evil Queen March 22, 2024 - 9:14 am
I feel bad for AnneMarie. She didn’t do anything so egregious that she warranted her firing. I want to thank her for confirming that her actions were all producer driven. It’s really sad that Bravo didn’t want to show a happy, loving successful black couple living their life in BH.

Going by what she is quoted saying with, "...following exactly what I was instructed to do throughout filming last season was the way the “game was played.” " tells me it isn't necessarily bravo people she is talking about. It is Kyle and maybe some of the others, IMO. Kyle is part of production, even if unofficially. Obviously zeroing in on Sutton was at least in part, at Kyle's direction. Like I said somewhere else this was posted, the big mouth who always goes on and on and has to have the last word (ten times!) needs to be specific. It will come out if Kyle is what she is talking about because Annemarie can't shut up (which is why I didn't like her plus being Kyle's puppet). If so, that shows Kyle is the problem! It could also have to do with her husband's past coming back. Factoring that in with her behavior may have made her not worth it to them.

She was too normal for this show and her kids are very young. Why stress with this show? She also fell for a newbie mistake by trying to do anything to be with the cool girls team. Also she mentions not getting to show “black love” several times. Just show your life, Save the public service announcement. Slippery slow We don’t need another Ebony.
