RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp is coming to Kyle Richards’ defense after Dorit Kemsley leaked her private text message at the season 13 reunion.
On Tuesday, February 27, Teddi Mellencamp weighed in on a clip from part one of the RHOBH season 13 reunion where Dorit shares a text message she recieved from Kyle ahead of filming the reunion.
“This is the part that really bothers me about all of this,” Teddi said on her “Two Ts in a Pod” episode, which she hosts with Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge. “I think that was Dorit’s final Hail Mary of like, ‘You guys have to keep me on the show because here I am spilling something that you never should have spilled.’”
The RHOBH alum also disagreed with Dorit’s take that the text message was Kyle’s attempt at “silencing” her at the reunion.
“This is saying, ‘Listen, we have a lot of other s–t to talk about. Why do you need to drag our friendship through the mud right now?’” the All-In accountability coach said of Kyle’s text.
The 42-year-old also shared that she doesn’t believe Dorit has any solid friendship within the RHOBH cast. She also points out Dorit’s lack of a storyline on the show.
“I don’t think she has a good relationship with the majority of the women on the cast. I don’t think she has a storyline other than the PTSD, which she’s been talking about for three years now,” Teddi said
“You start to think about what makes the show good. When there’s true relationships, true friendships and highs and lows. All we’ve seen so far this season of Dorit is Dorit mocking what Kyle is going through.”
If that weren’t enough, Teddi said that Dorit sharing Kyle’s text message with production proves she is “a friend to no one.”
“At what point is that drawing the line? It is one thing to say, ‘Listen, Kyle sent me a text yesterday where she said she didn’t want to argue with me.’ But to go there and show a private message I really think is crossing the line,” said the former Bravo star.
“Especially when I have the text messages that she has sent to our mutual friends saying, ‘I really hope Kyle knows that I will put her above the show any day. If she ever needs anything, I am there to support her. I love her. I care about her.’”
She further slammed Dorit for her decision to air Kyle’s text message.
“I have loved Dorit in the past but I have said there is something about her that solely cares about being on that TV show. That is her entire identity,” she quipped. “I feel disgusted that she would do that to a friend.”
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, during part one of the RHOBH season 13 reunion, Dorit Kemsley exposes Kyle Richards‘ lengthy, “manipulative” text message.
“There’s stuff with Kyle and I that’s going on and it hurts and bothers me the most,” Dorit told RHOBH co-star Erika Jayne in a preview for part one of the season 13 reunion. “I haven’t heard from her in a couple of months. Then, she sends me a text yesterday, basically trying to silence me. It was so manipulative, it was so calculated.”
The very long text message then appears on the screen. The text message starts off with Kyle admitting that she’s been “trying to reach out” as it “bothers” her that they’re in a “weird place” since filming for season 13 wrapped.
Kyle then told Dorit that she loves her, her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, and their kids, Phoenix and Jagger, and doesn’t want to “lose someone else in [her] life over a TV show.”
“They don’t even know we are going through a hard time, so I don’t see the need to bring it up there,” Kyle noted. “I should have said something sooner, but I honestly haven’t been strong enough. But relationships and YOU are more important to me than RHOBH.”
The OG concludes her message by asking Dorit if she’d like to meet and talk, adding that she’s unsure how much longer she can handle being on RHOBH.
Dorit felt Kyle’s text was “manipulative” and was sent hoping to silence her at the reunion. However, Dorit notes that “fair is fair” and that she has no problem discussing her issues with Kyle at the reunion.
Part two of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion airs March 6. at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
