Peacock is shaking things up in the RHUGT universe as the streaming network announces that RHUGT RHONY Legacy will premiere in December.
Fans were all ready to watch the drama between Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville go down when season 4 of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip premiered on Peacock later this year. However, the streaming platform has decided to switch things up amid the drama that went down between Caroline and Brandi while filming season 4 in Morocco earlier this year.
Season 4 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip also stars Vicki Gunvalson, Eva Marcille, Phaedra Parks, Camille Meyer, Alex McCord, and Gretchen Rossi.
On Wednesday, Peacock announced that season 5 of RHUGT, which is the RHONY: Legacy season, would be premiering in December ahead of season 4, which has now been pushed to 2024.
RHUGT RHONY: Legacy stars Real Housewives of New York alums Ramona Singer, Kristen Taekman, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, and Luann de Lesseps.
On Twitter, Peacock shared:
“We’re in a New York state of mind.
As a thank you to the fans for all of the support for #RHONY and #CrappieLake, the next season of #RHUGT will be RHONY LEGACY coming this December on Peacock! And then we’ll see you in Morocco in 2024″
This news was quite shocking to Real Housewives fans, especially since by the time season 4 of RHUGT airs in 2024, it will be more than a year from when they filmed the actual trip.
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, some major drama went down before filming wrapped on season 4 of RHUGT, resulting in both Brandi Glanville and Caroline Manzo exiting the trip early.
Insiders claimed that the early exits from filming came after Brandi allegedly bombarded Caroline with kisses without her consent.
“It was unwanted,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “And Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi. Things escalated, and physical boundaries allegedly were crossed that Caroline felt were serious and uncomfortable.”
Producers then decided to remove Brandi from the trip after sharing Caroline’s concerns with higher-ups at Bravo. A second source noted that Brandi apologized to Caroline via text message after being made aware of Caroline’s feelings.
“Brandi’s behavior was inappropriate,” a third source said, “so she was asked to leave.”
As for Caroline’s exit: “She needed to process this outside of the reality TV environment.”
An investigation into Brandi’s actions did take place after filming for season 4 of RHUGT wrapped. It is unclear what the findings were.
Since then, Caroline has vowed that she will “never” return to Real Housewives after her “traumatic” incident filming season 4 of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Brandi, on the other hand, has claimed that the incident between her and Caroline was complete “BS” and a “f–king setup.” She also alleged that Caroline was “fine.”
A new season of RHUGT will begin streaming on Peacock in December.
